Ehhhhh... disappointed a bit.
I'm one of those who LOVED Still Breathing and its hectic madness and here i kinda have the impression that something holds the song back from being bonkers, it's getting repetitive where Still Breathing kept your attention from 3 minutes straight.

But : THIS. IS. BADASS. Samanta's vocals are still awesome, she will S L A Y live no doubt about it, also there are some moments that are really great in the song, especially the rap verses.

Overall, this is a for me rn, maybe it will grow on me.

"The Moon is Rising's" composition is juicy. Aminata's extraordinary songwriting talent really shows here. I'm not sure about Samanta as a performer though. Samanta's singing during the verses makes me feel like it's a typical Eurovision act, but it should be beyond that. It's probably due to that Samanta's voice isn't dynamic and flexible enough to nail this song which seems to demand a specific vocal tone to truly work.

Otherwise, the production is amazing! points!

Not a fan of any of Aminata's songs but I liked Still Breathing

"Moon Is Rising" is catchy and easily memorable, the message is good, but what annoyed me and what didn't click with me prevails here. It's a bit messy and there are parts of it I just... can't.

Maybe I'll get used to it but so far this joins Croatia in the list of my least female bops of the year

It's amusingly shit but yess ofc the hysteria is the entire point of it. Samanta's insane asylum energy coming through like that. It's like the spirit of Dziesma Latvia wrapped into the package of Supernova Latvia
