Congratulations to France, thats something like 3 wins in 5 appearances now, thats some record.

As for my home country, I am so so proud of them, two back to back top 5s is some achievement, hopefully we are back again for 2024.

As for France Hosting, I'm not honestly sure whether they will or not, they've got the Olympics and Paralympics next year and that obviously would of taken a lot of money, so whether they have the budget to do it next year remains open.

The JESC 2023 is all over. France, which won the jury vote, ended up being the outright winner once all the online points were allocated to the scoreboard. That means that France has won the JESC on home soil, having won last year. This is, in fact, France's 3rd JESC win to-date. France - Winners 2020, 2022, 2023. 1 year's gap between its two most recent wins (2022 - 2023).

The UK finished 4th with 160 points, which was higher than I expected. Although "Back to Life" is better than several of the other songs, I didn't expect it to finish top 5. Still, as a UK citizen (and it's difficult for me to avoid being biased about the UK's entry), I'm pleased about another impressive JESC result for the UK; after Freya Skye finished 5th in JESC 2022. If 2022 and 2023 are anything to go by, the UK is definitely heading in the right direction at JESC. Time will tell whether or not the UK can come up with something better still and win JESC 2024.

Well done to all 16 countries in JESC 2024, no matter where on the scoreboard they finished this afternoon. For the record, my votes during the voting interval, based on the live performances, were Ireland, Germany, Netherlands.

"Thanks" for 1 pt :cautious:

Listen. if you want to get technical with all points across Eurovision and JESC combined, you still owe us 8 more before we're equal.

It should be obvious who my winner is...xdance2 it's the one with the fastest pace and it's not trying to "reinvent the wheel" with its musical direction. :mrgreen:xmusic

Just in case it wasn't clear..my winner is :es: xyaaay
And it almost won! This is the best result of my winner since i started watching jescxcheer

I like France so i can't be mad.
I'm happy Albania did well (-ish). She was on almost every youtuber's last place. It seemed like i was in the minority of people who liked it from day 1.
North Macedonia 12th for the 9th time already. Together with Portugal and Italy they should all be higher, but i saw it coming unfortunately. This is why i'm positively surprised about Albania.
UK scoring better than last year doesn't sit right with me...Freya should've won...

Anway, here's my top 16:

Felicitations, encore une fois, la France! They became what Ireland was in the 1990s to the adult version of the contest. :)
I am not too mad, they really tried and delivered. Hope this will soon also get luck again to get the winners trophy at the ESC.

Before the show I didn't expect a french victory (more a top 5) but the performance was incredible. I don't understand why the french delegation is good at staging for juniors but not for adults (like La Zarra for example).

My other favorite performances was Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain and Germany. I also liked Ukraine.

I'm glad that Germany is like 4th by the online voting. I'm disappointed by juries about Netherlands. I'm happy that we gave 12 point to Spain our juries wasn't suspicious to compare with 2020.

To see North Macedonia again 12th like many years is not a joke anymore. They suffered a curse.

A thought for Valentina who will have to sing this song "J'imagine" once again next year^^

Of course I desperately wanted Spain to win after Sandra's excellent performance, but after I watched Zöe's one immediately thought she would be the deserved winner. What a way to elevate a song! I was also rooting for the UK, the girls did amazing, and so did the ones from Armenia. I also loved Georgia, I felt sad when they finished 14th...

Overall, such a great edition of JESC, it is always more fun when the winner is not clear since the very beginning as it was in the adult contest.
