The EBU is considering different variants, if situation with Gaza and Israel gets worse. It can hold JESC online with pre-recorded performances.
Wouldn't be a good look to cancel JESC over threats of violent protests. I think everything will be just fine in the end and the contest will go along as normal in the south of France.

I hope so too. But if it gets worse, all the precautions would make sense. Especially after the recent terrorist attack in Brussels. If it's easier for securities to guarantee safety inside the arena, nobody will make you safe outside. There's a plenty of jihadist fanatics fueled by the "poor Palestinian kids bombed by cruel Israel" narrative.
We all remember the Manchester bombings at Ariana Grande concert. Who did that and what was the sick justification for that? If the US enters the war, the risk of terrorist attack will be super high.
Moreover, Nice has already suffered a gruesome terrorist attack when 87 people died and 434 were injured. Security will become a focal point this year.

I doubt they will cancel it, the worst case scenario is that they move to having it as a virtual format, similar to how they done it during COVID.

If participants won't start shooting live on tape videos, then everything is fine :gimmefive:
ps. Every delegation already has a conception of their performances (we've already recorded ours). I assume next week is the deadline for sending it to JESC directors.

Tumblr, mostly.
Well all entries are out, so it's time to ask a honest question.

Is it just me, or is JESC especially bland this year? :)

It should be obvious who my winner is...xdance2 it's the one with the fastest pace and it's not trying to "reinvent the wheel" with its musical direction. :mrgreen:xmusic
