This is the best irish national final had to offer.

I hope there will be more than just 5 songs competing. And please don't include your national final in that "The Late Late Show"

I think a national final is a good idea...but they still have to pick capable performers and songs.....and also not host it on the Late Late Show.

Also no joke acts please because I don't trust the Irish voting public not to send another turkey.

To be fair I think when Dustin won it was just pure televote so he probably wouldn't have won with a 50/50 televote/jury split. So hopefully something like that won't be repeated.

Because, unfortunately, many (renowned) acts have their mouths full of Eurovision aspiration post-season, but when it comes to the moment to swallow their pride and actually approach broadcasters without a red carpet being rolled out - *poof* suddenly they are missing and silent.

According to Irish HoD, the preliminary date for the Late Late Show is January 21.

There will be 5-6 artists. The voting system as of now: 33% Irish public / 33% jury / 33% international jury.

They decided to stick to the Late Late Show because of lack of funds.


Dustin the Turkey nostalgia at the beginning.
