RTE spent a total of €254,000 this year which includes the €70,000 participation fee, €61,739 was spent on accommodation, €14,477 of food and drink, €15,797 travel expenses, €31,442 on promotion & national final cost €60,000.

61000 + 16000 +14000= 91000 euros for staying in Baku with like 20 people.

It's nothing! Just imagine what it would cost Jedward to get the same attention without Eurovision. RTE maybe didn't benefit that much, but at least got 3 nights of good television. What would an equal replacement cost?

Apparently Jedward are now returning to Reality TV as they're going to be contestants on "Dancing on Ice" in 2013.

They didn't win Eurovision, they didn't win x-factor, they didn't win Big Brother, could this be their lucky break? The difference is that they will be competing as separate contestants.
