I think they aren't very clever, in fact I find them utterly cringeworthy like most of these type of "message-y" songs are xshrug

It would take an incredibly intelligent 5 year old. One that was in touch with the world and who had experienced first hand the troubles people face everyday from prejudice. Also pretty smart for using the word "trigonometry". I didn't even know what the word meant and have just had to look it up. It's to do with Maths apparently. Gosh, the children learn so quick these days. Bless little John Grant for writing this song during playtime at schoolxqueenbitch

Apparently he got help from one this time around

I don't know what you see that is wrong about the lyrics, it's about stopping prejudice and the lyrics are showing that, and they also have some fun. John Grant did a great job with the lyrics.

9/10 right, swap out San Marino with Belgium and then it would've been complete.

In case people didn't know, the blue guy (the singer) dislocated his jaw in all the celebration, if you look again at the moment Pollapönk celebrates in the green room, you can see the blue and red guy on the left hugging it out, that is the moment he dislocated his jaw.

 Will he be okay for Friday/Saturday?

Usually I don't like it if songs have morally lyrics, cause mostly it's implausible and only success-oriented

But in case of Pollapönk you may not forget that this band consist of two kindergarten teachers, so they are probably used to sing childish songs and wear funny clothes.

However, the way they convey the moral message is very sympathic... for example the stutter part in the strophes, the clothes, the guitares, how they dance and so on... the toverall package is entertaining and especially between all these ballads, a song like this is a very positive appearance

I had always a preference for funny or crazy acts and for singers who didn't take the whole contest too serious. At the end I, as a spectator, wanna get entertained and I want to hear catchy songs... And I know that Pollapönk satisfy these requirements.

Edit: :? Hope the singer will get well very soon!

This photo is taken from Pollapönk's FB page. It was taken at Euroclub last night with their oldest fan, who is a 104 year old lovely lady. Love this photo, theyr're just great :D

4. Iceland
Matt: Solid performance, great energy and you can tell they're having the time of their life onstage. I'm questioning the jury appeal for this one but they did the best they could.
Ahmet: Same as Semi Final, not much too add.

There have apparently been some problems with the sound, both yesterday and today I believe. I hope it will be fixed before they go on stage tonight :|

Might be a surprise tonight, not sure. But if they have another energetic performance top 15 is guaranteed. :D

It was nice that this did so well, here we can see how "reliable" those youtube tops are... and on escstats this was predicted to be 14th in the semi. A good Nordic year overall btw, 3rd, 8th, 9th, 11th and 15th place.

This did really well!

I was 100% of this qualifying, but had this as bottom 5 in the final. Great result, the performance was spot on, fun and energetic!

(It does kinds bug me that it placed better than past Icelandic entries... 'Never Forget' is one)

I just saw a split result of jury and televoting...

If the bracket is right, Iceland would've come 12th overall...
