The EDU (Eidgenössische Demokratische Union), a right-wing party in Switzerland threatens to make a refernedum regarding the funding of any application to host the contest. One of the reason the article cites, is that there are „recurring satanistic acts“ such as Ireland 2024.
Also the „Union of taxpayers“ opposes any funding out of public sources.
