I get hyping the own entry is a thing for people, but I always find it a bit embarassing 😅

It's true that fans shouldn't be "hyping" their own song when voting in polls. But on the other hand, it would be surprising if the fans in a country didn't rate their own country's song better than average.

Having said that, I'm probably biased when it comes to "Baller", since it's my favourite entry of them all. Or it WAS - if she would still sing the whole chorus herself as she did originally (I'm still hoping for a version that's similar to the 'semi' in Germany).

I've been listening to "Winnetou" more than "Baller" recently. Still love "Baller" though, fingers crossed that it comes across well live at Eurovision.

I guess it's time to wake up from hibernation and give my two cents :D
- The song itself is not revolutionary but somewhat enjoyable. I feel like they should have given a more prominent role to the cello parts to make the song stand out a little more.
- I do not mind the German. The lyrics are not as cringe as I feared.
- The NF-performance was an absolute disaster. This needs a complete overhaul and an actual staging concept.
- Her vocals are meh at best. Hopefully she has recovered from her problems and took some good singing lessons.

With that being said: I would give it 6 points. If they improve the performance they might actually end up somewhere between 12 and 15. Which would be a success for Germany.

... so is this pre or post recovery? 😬
Post recovery..... and according to Twitter, she sounds great 😅

It's not about Fans voting in a poll. Those are Bloggers doing "song checks" And starting Tynna is vocally only a little weaker than the Remember Monday girls. That is... ridiculous, to put it nice.

And no, it's really not that typical for Germans to rate their own song better than average. Ask Isaak last year. And honestly, even A&T in regards to general german reception outside of the ESC bubble.

First impressions seem to be really great, completely different staging than the preliminary round. Ballerlala

Decent news from the odds front...
We are now 14th (23%) in regards to chances for a Top 10 spot. Overtook both Belgium and Cyprus within the last 24 hours. The odds are still shortening.
