He should have a DJ station at the center of the stage. And the singer+dancers should pretend to be fans that have come to his concert to have fun. There'd be some concept there. Right now there really is none.
Wouldn’t match the lyrics of the song at all….

He’s back!

Considering I gave this 12 points and I can't stop listening to it (it's literally on loop), as a non german speaker, how should I react to this review?

He says the show on saturday was shit.

The song is great - he says, the best option, but only in the studio version. He says the live version is pretty much not enough to get even a few points. Performance, voice etc - everything was bad. If they don't improve a lot we will get out there with very bad results. He also says that the germans always hate their own entries but this time we could have a big chance - but only if they improve everything.

He also claims that the pre shows in germany were just garbage and Stefan Raab is without any respect. He screwed the audience because he changed the rules right before the contest to kick out Feuerschwanz and he (Raab) also made misogynic and sexistic comments about what women want to see in the ESC (because Raab said that women just want to hear sad love songs/ballads and would never vote for Metal/Rock. He also said that the whole concept of the show - letting every act sing 2 cover songs made absolutely no sense.

Stefan Raab said what?

Although he does have a point. No sense in presenting cover songs.

And that Youtuber is half right. The selection wasn't that good. How did they expected to win eurovision 2025?

ALTHOUGH I LOVE BALLER AND AT THE MOMENT IS MY WINNER BY HEART.

BTW, thank you so much for explaining :)

You're welcome :-)

Yes, Raab said that. I saw it live on TV and i was really furious and pi**ed.

My 70 y/o mother in law liked our vinyls of The Offspring very much. My mom listens to oldschool punk. My female friends listen to everything from techno over hiphop to rock and metal. Some of them also like soft music. How can anyone - especially a celebrity with so much influence can even say things like that?

I guess I should buy some CDs from ... ahh I can't even name typical "sad ballad"-bands nowadays. Maybe The Backstreet Boys and Take That - and throw my Offspring/Sum41/Linkin' Park and all the other rock, punk, metal vinyls into the trash as I am not manly enough to listen to it. ;-)

Yeah i also like the song very much. And i also think especially the vocals have to improve.

The selection really wasn't good. I liked Abor & Tynna immediately, also From Fall to Spring, Cage and Ni-Ka. Moss Kena was very good too - his cover in the final was totally blasting - but unfortunately his song for the finals was boring, sad and a typical snivelling song (and I dislike most snivelling songs).

A proper rave classic. Studio version really brings all the rhythmic smoothness. I do fear this might get lost amidst so many tracks. This is very atmosphere driven, there is not a particularly attention-grabbing moment that mobilizes viewers to vote. More than the staging concept, they have to nail the vocal delivery. Nontheless, feels so good to finally love a German entry in what felt like an eternity. :8:

I mean your gender doesn't dictate your musical tastes.

He always seemed a little bit of a douche.W Why do people give him any credit?

He always was polarizing - never woke, always provoking - had problems with the law several times because he insulted people (not only celebrities but also normal people) in public on TV and made fun of their names by sexualizing them or making very bad and unappropriate jokes. 11years ago he retired from TV and the public but he had a comeback last year. Contrary to his audience he didn't develop.

Pausing nearly 10 years in the showbiz then
coming back and wanting to continue exactly where you stopped is very naive and produces a lot of cringe moments.

What do you think about this comedy sketch?

It is Robert Gustafsson and Henrik Schyffert, both of whom could be possible comedians that take part in a swedish hosting.
I dont think it is offensive it is humour about things way back in the 1930s. They hit in nearly every directions , at Sweden at foreign countries at famous people and at people with funny dialects.

Heard the semi final for the first time, Tynna sounds alright other than she struggled to follow the rhythm on the latter part

"The German entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel is shaking up the global viral charts on Spotify: "Baller" by Abor & Tynna is currently number 1 here - worldwide! That doesn't mean that the song is being streamed more than others, but it is currently being shared particularly often with others and discovered by new listeners."

If Tynna works on her vocals this could score well I think. Besides that, what to say, truly a banger and even better that it's in German!!! :10: points.

Seems like there won't be a new video anymore. This is the "new" official video where they mixed the live performance with the audio. But there is less audiotune and more emphasis on the Cello.
