Welcome to the FSC February 2022 Spin-Off featuring favorite 2nd-placed songs in Eurovision
National Selections from all over the world . Our host city is : Hanoi, Vietnam , the capital &
2nd largest city in Vietnam . The city & municipality , has a population of around 8 million . Loc
ated within the Red River Delta Hanoi is considered the cultural and political centre of Vietnam
Hanoi traces its history back to the third century BC, when a portion of the modern-day city se
rved as the capital of the historic Vietnamese nation of Âu Lạc . Hanoi has been the capital of
several dynastys in the region through the centuries, it served as the capital of French Indochi
na from 1902 to 1945 & most recently capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam since 1976
Hanoi hosts various venerable educational institutions and cultural venues of significance, inc
luding the Vietnam National University, the Mỹ Đình National Stadium, and the Vietnam Nation
al Museum of Fine Arts. Amongst its achievements it has a UNESCO World Heritage Site - The
Central Sector of the "Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long" , which was first constructed in 1011AD.
Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism are the main religions of Hanoi for many years. Most pe
ople consider themselves Buddhist. Hanoi has rich culinarytraditions Many of Vietnam's most
famous dishes, such as phở , bún chả , chả cá Lã Vọng, bánh cuốn & cốm are believed to have
originated in Hanoi . Several varied Vietnamese festivals are arranged every year also in Hanoi
Sights: Hanoi has many museums, Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Water Puppet Theatre, Pag
oda Tran Quoc, Hoan Kiem Lake, Dong Xuan Market, Hanoi Old Quarter, Temple of Literature &
Hanoi Opera House . With its tree-fringed boulevards, more than two dozen lakes & thousands
of French colonial-era buildings, Hanoi - the "Paris of the East" - is a popular tourist destination
Our Host venue is : the Hanoi Opera House in Hanoi, Vietnam. Sometimes is also called
the Grand Opera House , it was erected by the French colonial administration between 1901 &
1911. It was modeled on the Palais Garnier , the older of Paris's two opera houses, & is consid
ered to be 1 of the architectural landmarks of Hanoi. The main architectural style of the Opera
House is Neoclassicism . After departure of the French, the building was used for Vietnamese
plays and musicals . The return of Western opera , & the first major non-French or Italian opera
was performance of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin organised under Vietnam-Soviet cultural au
spices in 1960. Today the orchestra of the opera overlaps with Vietnam National Symphony Or
chestra, & calls on the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra of the Hanoi Conservatory. It has also on
occasion played host to various music concert events & has a seating capacity for around 600
or so people. They are proud to host this evening’s Spin-Off edition of the Forum Song Contest
Our lovely Hosts this evening are:
Vu Ngoc Hoang Oanh and Phan Thu Ngân
Vu Ngoc Hoang Oanh is a Vietnamese model. She became well known when she won the first
prize of the Hot V Teen 2006 contest . Then, she participated in the Miss Vietnam Women Pho
to Contest 2012 , and won the runner-up prize . She mainly works as an MC for events, and TV
-programs . She is proud to co-host this evening’s Spin-Off edition of the Forum Song Contest
Phan Thu Ngân was crowned the 7th Miss Vietnam in 2000, when she was a second year stud
ent at Văn Lang University , Ho Chi Minh City. She also received the "best answer award" in the
competition. In contrast to many others she chose familylife & refusted to take part in Miss Un
iverse 2001. She is proud to co-host this evening’s Spin-Off edition of the Forum Song Contest

When seeing it here, I did remember it as a song from the NF, but I hadn't really thought of it as 2nd place
