The innovative duo FUEL FANDANGO represents Spain at FSC August 2013. They mix up electronic with flamenco sounds in quite an original way, the kind of fusion music that is hard to find in the Spanish scenery. Enjoy!!! :D

Lurte - Netú

lurte10.jpg

Lurte.jpg

Lurte, which means snow avalanche in Aragonese language, is a folk metal band from Aragón. Their music is known to use traditional Aragonese wind instruments, such as boto bagpipe, dulzaina, trompa de Ribagorza or local pipe, as well as a quite powerful percussion. They are able to make that typical rock energy and sound, but they do not use electric guitar or any other modern instruments.

Their rhythms, songs and soul remembers battles of Almogávares, mercenary army who served the King of Aragon between 11th and 14th century. Almogávares kept some celtiberian traditions alive, uniting warrior's strength and love to Mother Earth.

They have five albums:

2006 - Despierta fierro
2008 - Deus lo bol
2010 - Biellas esferras
2011 - Neopatria
2013 - Última frontera

61YaUogORuL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

Well, I'm not going to introduce this band because they are already introduced to all of you. It's the most succesful Spanish band ever after all. However, I must say this song is in their new album, which was recorded LIVE in Mexico.
But since this is the 5th LODVG song Spain sends to FSC, let's pay tribute to the other four songs :)

FSC MARCH 2009 (#01) -> Jueves (16th - 33 points)

FSC SEPTEMBER 2011 (#31) -> La niña que llora en tus fiestas (2nd - 130 points)
(How could One Direction win over this is beyond me)

LYRICS

Cuando dices adiós un naufragio llega a mi orilla // When you say goodbye a wreck reaches my edge
Cuando dices adiós mi paisaje queda en construcción // When you say goodbye my landscape gets stuck in construction
Cuando dices adiós puedo respirar // When you say goobye I can breathe
El aire del desierto que dejas atrás // The air from the desert you leave behind
Cuando dices adiós no consigo disimular // When you say goodbye I can't hide
Que no, que no, que no puedo estar // I can't, I can't, I can't be
Sin ti, sin ti, sin ti me muero... // Without you, without you, without you I die...

Sigo esperando en la ventana para verte llegar // I'm still waiting for you in the window to see you back
Tachando lunas del calendario // Crossing out moons from the calendar
Caen mis pulsaciones como luces en la ciudad // My beatings fall like lights in the city
Cada vez que te vas // Every time you leave

Cuando dices adiós se me enredan las emociones // When you say goodbye my emotions mess up
Cuando dices adiós la nostalgia pasa sin llamar // When you say goodbye nostalgia goes by without knocking
Cuando dices adiós puedo imaginar // When you say goodbye I can imagine
Mis ojos oxidándose junto al cristal // My eyes oxidising next to the window
Cuando dices adiós sólo quiero disimular // When you say goodbye I only want to hide
Que no, que no, que no puedo estar // I can't, I can't, I can't be
Sin ti, sin ti, sin ti me muero // Without you, withoit you, without you I die

Sigo esperando en la ventana para verte llegar // I'm still waiting for you in the window to see you back
Tachando lunas del calendario // Crossing out moons from the calendar
Caen mis pulsaciones como luces en la ciudad // My beatings fall like lights in the city
Pasan las horas mientras sigo empañando el cristal // The hours go by while I'm still misting the window
Clamando que te quiero a mi lado // Crying out that I want you by my side
Se abren las cortinas de mi corazón al marchar // The curtains of my heart open up while you're leaving

Luar na Lubre & Diana Navarro - A miña amiga

A miña amiga (My friend/love)

Pomba de brancas anzas
se ollas ó pé das augas
á mái belida fada
esa é a miña amada.

Pomba que voas leda
se ves na banda da ría
á máis belida frol
esa é a miña amiga.

E miña amiga,
coma as core s da mañá
feiticeira e garimosa,
coma unha noite de vran.

E miña amiga,
vimbro de xunca lanzal
arrecendente froliña,
aloumiño do luar .

Que non brile máis a lúa
nin luceiro da mañá
se miña amiga
perto de min non está.

Que sequen todas as fontes
e quede sin auga o mar
se miña amiga
perto de min non está.

Ehi vái ,véla que ben vái
miña amiga pola ría,
camiño de seu casal .

Os seus cabelos son loiros
coma as areias do mar
e as estreliñas rebrilan,
no medio do seu ollar.
Anduriña,anduriña,
se viras cabo da ría
á máis xentil e benfeita,
a millor ,a máis belida:
¡ esa é miña amiga!
¡ esa é miña amiga!

I think this song is written in old Galician-Portuguese language, since it's inspired in medieval lyric, so I can't translate the whole song.

LUAR NA LUBRE is right now one of the most important folk bands in Galicia with an extensive record behind it.

Its fame has broken down all barriers since the famous British musician of Irish origin, Mike Oldfield, took an interest in its music.

From then on, a series of awards, positive reviews, performances on the best stages and two golden disc, according to this far-reaching history you may now go on to know.

DIANA NAVARRO was born in Málaga in 1978. She became popular with her first single, "Sola", in 2005, and she won Onda award to best revelation artist the same year. She is well known for mixing traditionals genres, such as flamenco and copla, with arab, oriental or classic rhythms.

Gonna be honest and confess I was listening to some music on Youtube and I've just found this song was a cover of a 70's song and, despite the songs sound completely different, it would have never been eligible............ almost three years later, oh well...

Anyway I didn't know this and nobody found out either, cause this is probably one of the most magic songs we've ever sent to FSC and I'm glad FSCers could enjoy this piece of art xlove

Here is the proof
