I guess the negative critics about the staging are part of the game for France. It's definitely a risk taken by the french delegation to go with such a concept. This risk, singing on the sand, especially at the end and mixed with the message of the song, could be really rewarded by the juries and be considered as a a differentiating factor compared to other jury songs. Now televote wise, while some people could feel distracted by the performance, this could also win over some part of the audience too, and enough to convince them to vote. I'm in between. I feel like some parts in the first half of the performance seems a bit odd, but then the second part of the performance, especially the last minute gives me shivers and winning vibes.
I try to convince myself that it could get enough televotes to be in contention to win. At 170-180 televote would be great and probably the bar needed to be in contention for the victory, as i believe we won't have a winner over 500 points this year, or maybe barely passing the 500 points bar. Let's see what will happen. Running order is in France favor at least and the performance remains memorable. So televote will be the key.
