Of course I do tell lies too, but my lies are usually very innocent and they don't do much damage to everybody else. While, on the other hand, I am a victim of lies said by other people that had or have a big impact on my life.

People can change their mind or circumstances can change and that doesn't make someone a liar.
Stating that Aksel tells LIES (plural) when you have no evidence on the other hand....

Nothing particularly, but it's just not credible and the fact that he is participating after all, also comes across as a bit of desperate, since he couldn't go to ESC last year.

"Lie" is a pretty decent song, maybe not something revolutionairy, but it is nice. Oskr got a wonderful voice which makes the song better and believable I feel. It is not a song that would do amazing in Eurovision, but would make the finns proud enough and might sneak in to the final.

Ok. Fine. That's your opinion and it's good to have it. You're free to like Aksel as a person or as a singer, something that I don't. I wish him to have a great song so that he could actually earn his participation in ESC, instead of it being handed to him only because he exists

I live in UK but I'm Italian. Both countries are indeed tragic when it comes to lies that have actually a big impact on people's lives, like mine. What comforts me is that I'm different and way more holier-than-thou than the average Italian/English liar.

It's not a matter of liking a singer or not. This has NOTHING to do with taste. It's about respect in what we say about people. I myself stated that I find him as a public person boring. That's an impression, that's an opinion. What you did, was an unjustified moral judgment and an ungrounded qualification of his state of mind.

I am sure that he, probably together with YLE, wanted to make this a surprise and that it probably wasn't 100% certain he was going to get a place in the end, so they decided to keep it quiet. Now it is out, yeah he kept a small little secret, but who the heck cares if he said that he wasn't going to join and woops, he did in the end. Choose the things you get angry or upset about instead of silly things that doesn't matter anything in the end....

On this, you are right, I have to admit. After all, he participating is indeed a surprise after all, and that's making us all talking about it, so at least I can give him and YLE that they have succeeded in raising interest around the NF.

The only problem I think with your comment was that you made some psychoanalystic opinion/view about Aksel that just sounded a bit rough and harsh. It was like you made him a complete liar and a loner, making him like the bad guy when it is probably a lot more complicated than that. We don't even know why he said no the first time, maybe he wasn't allowed to say he was, maybe it was uncertain, maybe he had started to set eyes on something else, but then suddenly he found the right song for the contest. I think that people, including myself, need to be careful about writing stuff about what the artists are as people and such, since it can be seen as hurtful to others. We all make mistakes, but we need to at least try to get better at it.
