Last place with a big gap even. YLE must change the team in charge of the entry selection. What was the point to chose a one-hit-wonder with a song that had nothing to remind us his big hit. They didn't learn from Las Ketchup experience.

I assumed they would do SOMETHING to remind the world of who Darude was. Or that Darude, being a fairly seasoned performer, would act like it instead of checking out completely. Everything reeked of laziness to the point that I figured they were relying on commentators to say the magic word (the magic word being "sandstorm," ofc). Cesar and Alaska have nailed it. Finland, you truly are one of my favorite Eurovision countries. Please return to doing something next year.

Sort of liked it, but can see why it failed. I think Darude really had the potential of coming up with a mind-blowing entry, but a lot of bad choices were made. Sebastian just isn't a good or charismatic singer to me, and i just think overall they may have tried to play it "safe". They've should have gone all out edgy, modern EDM, with some weird looking and distinctive vocalist instead of radio friendly psuedo-rock.

The reaction in Finland has been very negative, unlike some other years, PKN was also last in 2015 and Norma John failed to qualify but there was a sense of pride and comfort for sending something genuine. Poor Darude and Sebastian, I don’t think they deserve so much shade. It’s YLE the one to take all the responsability. Finland went to ESC as a deadman walking, known from the very beginning this outcome. The Eurovision YLE team must be renovated with fresh ideas, not copying what the BBC did with “has been” artists or talent show divas with 15 minutes of fame because this is the result.

Such a shame....from all the initial hype when Darude was announced to being dead last in the semi. This whole story could've been pulled much better (starting from the song and then everything else). But I do agree, new ideas are needed. This will hopefully serve as a lesson.

Well I was wrong on thinking juries will give us more points than televotes. Funny thing Estonia gave us 12 televote points, but 0 jury points.
