I hope they won't fully ditch the original UMK concept after this ridiculous Saara edition. The result of 2014 should be motivating enough to keep going.
I'd normally say that send Alma internally, but after Netta already winning, I don't think she'd be too successful now. Those big names rarely do well at ESC anyway. Alma better pursue her career in LA.

Maybe SAARA (Smoukahontas, the girl who spoke gibberish in different languages) would do it for Finland? She more of a tv-personality nowadays but she should pursue music more. She's had a lot of downs in her music career apparently according to her vlogs but this could help her if she wants to become an artist after all!

Nu public call for artists this year either, which seems like a great choice actually! Hoping for a semi-known artist that will do a similar song selection as this year, or maybe 2-3 artists with two songs each.

I've read on many places that YLE asked throught their website, which artists people would like to be sent to ESC, and it showed that Mikael Saari (2nd in UMK 2013 and 3rd in UMK 2016) was the one with the most mentions...and it wouldn't be a bad choice I think. Finland needs something jury friendly I think to do better in the contest, and Mikael can bring that, even if his songs has a tendency to be quite weird (I like them, but I can see that it isn't the usual way of doing songs, he does like being very musical and artsy)..
