Yeah I'm not a big fan of the upbeat tracks this year (people here would call it "bops"), but I guess the chorus from Romania has the most authentic feel, so I can live with them qualifying.

I had the same feeling with Albina (Croatia) in 2019, but she didn't made it.

Romania is an effortless bop - it doesn´t try to be trendy, contemporary or very Eurovision-esque - it just feels very Romanian/pop-"EDM"/2011 to me and it´s catchy as hell - my parents also really enjoyed it.

I love :fr: and :ua: this year - probably my favourite up-tempo songs but I agree that the mid-tempo or ballads seem to be superior this year (imo).

Oh I like France as well. It's creative at least and something different. Also, in my eyes they have the best staging this year.

I honestly don't really understand that there is zero hype with them. I still believe they will do really well with the televotes (maybe even top 5), altough the silence about them is starting to worry me.

Adding to the facts:
  • This is the first time since 2013 that between Greece and Cyprus, Greece qualified instead of Cyprus
  • This is the first time since 2017 that Moldova and Romania are both qualifying
  • This is the first time for Poland and Romania to qualify after streaks of non-qualifications.
  • This is another time where Lithuania, Finland, and Portugal qualified twice in a row
  • This is another time where Iceland and Greece qualified more than once in a row
  • This is the first time since the introduction of qualification that Switzerland qualified three times in a row.

Sweden has been in my top 5 since melfest but something just seemed really off tonight for me I dont know if anyone else feels that way too

I don't really feel the staging works in the contest now.

There's this intimacy with the audience at Melfest since they used the island stage to place Cornelia on. Now when it's on the main stage of Eurovision it looks out of scale.

They cannot have Czech Republic opening, it's too big. Romania seems like the safer bet.

Closing will be Moldova or Sweden.
Personally, I think that :am: would be the most logical option due to its enormously huge prop(s) - They need some time to get everything ready for the performance.
Romania got zero props - that would be a lacklustre opener, imo (even though I enjoyed the performance and lowkey like the song).

But if the props are so huge, won't they need lots of time to get them off the stage as well? We wouldn't have the opening song, then 30 seconds of awkward Mila dialogue to the camera straight-away surely...

Since :am: is not going to win, they can just put all of them into the *bin* - I honestly think that putting it on the stage is more time-consuming than getting it off stage.
Maybe a song without any props for #2 so that they don´t have to focus on getting huge props off stage and building up new ones simultanously?
