So as announced by the EBU, they will be broadcasting a 2 hour show celebrating the contest.

"Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light will honour all 41 songs, in a non-competitive format, as well as providing plenty of surprises for fans and viewers at home. The show will be hosted by Dutch Eurovision presenters Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley (Eurovision 1998 and 2007) and Jan Smit."

I thought we better have a thread dedicated to it (and other alternative Eurovision shows produced by broadcasters)

What do you all think about it?

Although I think it may be entertaining, I do feel it's a bit of a "cheap/ tacky" way of doing things. I understand the decision to cancel the contest this year, even though there is a lot of emotions around it, but I hope it's just not a cringefest which non- Eurovision fans (and possibly Eurovision fans) will just laugh at.

NOTE: woops just realised where I put this, please move it if it's in the wrong place! Sorry
