I would just come to think about Eurovision 2030. If it still ran then (which I hope it does ) What would you most probably see???

Here is what I predict by then:

Liechtenstein, Kosovo and Qatar would all defo debut by then.
All the poor-placing countries (e.g Bulgaria, San Marino & Portugal) get a win by 2030
Ireland wins in the 2020's and Italy wins by 2027

That's what I think, but please give your opinions on what will happen to Eurovision in the future!!!

The day Qatar enters it's officially dead to me.

That's my opinion. Other than that I really dunno what to say about.

I hope that native languages start to get respected again in the contest, but I fear that already in just a couple of years we will have no native languages in the contest any longer.

Agreed. I would love to see Irish and Swedish entries back in but... countries prefer English songs because they think they can get a good placing when the majority of Europeans kind of understand the lyrics...

The European Union will have killed off the existence of the European nation states and we will all be participating as states of a Federal Europe.

If 50 nations will be competing then there should be 3 semi-finals. otherwise it's to difficult to qualify :) so the big 5 + 7 x 3 and 15 countries in 1 semi-final. (or something) But who knows...

6. Italy will Withdraw again by 2020
7. Big5 will get at least 2 victories
8. Someone will beat Ireland at the "Most Wins"

Liechtenstein, Kosovo and Kazakhstan will have debuted and Luxembourg, Monaco, Montenegro, Andorra and Czech Republic will have returned. Italy will have withdrawn again after a few years of poor results and the UK will have finished last at least 3 more times, one of which when they didn't even manage 10 points. Ukraine, Russia and Turkey will have all won again at some point, and so will an unlucky country like Belgium or the Netherlands, after years of failing to qualify. There'll still be 2 semis and the contest will be broadcast in 3D too :p Russia will have been moved into the Big 6 by 2025 (Big 5 if Italy withdraw).

I don't think that will happen cuz it's not a historical country in Eurovision. The Big5 countries participate since 1956. Russia came only 50 years later...
And the USA will pay millions of $$$ to participate too

Russia's actually asked to enter the Big 5/6 as they pay more than Spain (or at least they are willing to) and that's all that matters for the Big 5/6 so I imagine it would happen soon :p Spain would probably be removed and put into the semi if this happened though..

I think the Big5 countries participate just because they are in the Big5... No ?
I don't see Spain in the semi's cuz they would be disqualified a lot of times.

The Big 5 would probably enter even if they had to go through the semis as it's a cheap night's entertainment for their channels, compared to some of the programs the BBC pays for anyway :p If they had to go through the semis though interest would probably drop dramatically as they inevitably stop reaching the final. Would be nice though, maybe we'd try more...

:ru: aplied for BIG 5 last year because they tought that in 2010 they will miss the Final, but they qualified so I guess they withdrew the aplication. IMO :ru: doesen't need BIG 5 as they will qualify whatever they send + a PQ spot is a minus for a song!
