feels like a solid top 5 song but no winner tbh. His vocals are not as good as they need to be for winning. Yes the performance is not relying on good vocals but they could secure more jury votes.

Now looks like the stronger package and the obvious winner.

I still love though.

I'm confused about Kaarija.

IMO the staging was too ambitious for him to get around all elements.

Also too bright for metal parts of the song.

Netherlands is still qaulifying no matter how much I hate it or you do

It's such a weak semi over all. There are quite a few decent songs, but there's no song I would call a 12 pointer. I don't like the fact that Sweden is the song I enjoyed the most tonight because it feels like such an own-country-biased thing to say, and I wish there were other songs I loved more. But here we are.

This is the worst semi final that I can remember seeing, in terms of songs and vocals. We need to get live backing vocals back. My surprise favourite was Mimicat, which im shocked at myself for.

I'm cheering for:

Sweden (for the vocal quality), Moldova (for the ethnicity), Latvia (for the genre), Norway (because it's a different kind of pop song), Finland (because it's unique), Azerbaijan (because it's down to earth).

I don't think Latvia and Azerbaijan will make it though. Hope Croatia will not either. I can easily live without Serbia, Malta and Ireland too.
