We let them tell us what to do
Why why why
We live to die for worthy things
Oh ya ya ya

We promised we would never lose our pride
Your word's worth nothing if you lie
We're standing tall and looking up, our Father would be proud
And I'm happy to be working my own ground

We'll be the last ones breathing here

Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

We're taught that we were born to lose
But why why why
Don't waste your breath, it's time to choose
Oh ya ya ya

We promised we would never lose our pride
Your word's worth nothing if you lie
We're standing tall and looking up, our Father would be proud
And I'm happy to be working my own ground

I said
Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

I hope

We let them tell us what to do
Why why why
We live to die for worthy things
Oh ya ya ya

No matter what they try, tearing up our lives
I know we will always rise

I said
Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

I hope

The future still remains our own

I hope

If it was the same jury as the semi-finals, then clearly not
i don't think so but i am now genuinely questioning the legitimacy of the pre-jury if stuff like let's talk about, take me home, hea päev, mis nüüd saab, etc made it through but not THAT???

but i'm not surprised if the pre-jury also mostly consisted of pop singers, radio show hosts or mumble rappers... ''music experts''

Well, to be fair we've not actually heard this mysterious song yet so.. it's possible it's not all that great? I'll reserve judgement until we get to hear it. You'd think, with 40 songs this year, it's chances to make the cut would have been pretty good if it was La Forza quality or something. Then again, who knows what the jury might be thinking. Perhaps it was very divisive. Hope she releases it soon so we get to judge for ourselves!

i highly doubt that it's worse than let's talk about.. or most of the quarter final songs in fact 😭

It can be the same story with Ireland. They received 320+ entries but they picked 6 dull and generic "radio-friendly" songs.

Same will probably happen in Germany - our head of delegation already announced that some artists who made their application known to the public won´t be part of the national final (Eskimo Callboy, maybe?)

If you ask some middle aged radio hosts to pick entries for a national final you basically end up facing the most progressive and interesting and modern songs or bold/genuine picks, imo.

Wow, didn't expect to hear finnish-accented rap here... This semi-final is already better than the first one and Maian hasn't even performed yet.
