Wonder if it ever crossed your mind
That what we had was really unbelievable, unbeatable, a miracle
Why'd you have to go and mess it up?
Why'd you have to make what was unbreakable shakable, unsavable?
And now it's too late to cross your fingers
I'm wide awake and not a dreamer
Hate it, but it seems the dreams were never true
For a little while the fates were with us
Wonder why they had to turn against us
I could make a wish, but there is no use

I can feel
Even though I'm numb
The change to come will hurt someone
I can see
This time it isn't me
I might be the lucky one

I don't need a crystal ball to show me
Baby, it is plain that you don't know me
When it comes to you I'm better off alone (Better off alone)
I don't need a crystal ball to make me
Realize that if I stay you'll break me
Every sign is saying I should be gone
I should be gone

Thought I had a cloud over my head
It had to be my fault that it kept raining down
Until now, I figured out
That if I had the nerve to say goodbye
I could look for clearer skies up over head
Weather says sun instead

I don't need a crystal ball to show me
Baby, it is plain that you don't know me
When it comes to you I'm better off alone (Better off alone)
I don't need a crystal ball to make me
Realize that if I stay you'll break me
Every sign is saying I should be gone
I should be gone

I can feel (Even though I'm numb)
The change to come will hurt someone
I can see (I can feel)
This time it isn't me
I might be the lucky one

I don't need a crystal ball to show me
Baby, it is plain that you don't know me
When it comes to you I'm better off alone (Better off alone)
I don't need a crystal ball to make me
Realize that if I stay you'll break me
Every sign is saying I should be gone
I should be gone

My top 5 after first listen

1) Kea - Hypnotized
2) Suured Tüdrukud - Heaven's not that far tonight
3) Heleza - 6
4) Jüri Poostman - Magus Melanholia
5) Tanja - Best Night Ever

barely missing: Uku Suviste and Redel

Not impressed with any of the songs though. I enjoy my top 3, that's it.

This line up feels like they belong to 1 album, they all sound so similar to each other. That being said, I think Uku Suviste's song is the most memorable out of the bunch. It almost feels as if this was intentional

The song I love most in this section is one that people here don't like at all. ;) Kaos performed by Uku Haasma. Great song, it does a lot for me. I also love
Gram-Of-Fun – Lost In A Dance
Alabama Watchdog – Alabama Watchdog
Kadri Voorand – Energy

If Gram-Of-Fun would make it, I would be super happy!

Unpopular opinion but I don't think Eesti Laul is as meh as some people say, and I don't think Uku's song was an improvement either. It may not sound as cheesy and dated as "What Love Is", but I think his 2020 effort was slightly more interesting and captivating, if people said his song last year "was just there" I don't know what to think about "The Lucky One" then.

Egert and Koit did it for me once again, Ivo & Robert & Supernova's song is my guilty pleasure, but I get why it is not really popular - sounds a bit 90-ish, but I love the melody and the progression.

Gram-Of-Fun - Lost in a dance stands out for me, good melody and easy on the ear.

I find Uku Haasma - Kaos quite interesting and I also have a soft spot for Juri!

Kudos to Estonia as there are a number of quality songs in this year's Eesti Laul. My favourites:

Kadri Voorand "Energy"
Jüri Pootsmann "Magus Melanholia"
Ivo Linna, Robert Linna ja Supernova "Ma Olen Siin"
Rahel "Sunday Night"

I predict all will do well with the jury. My personal choice to win would be Kadri Voorand as it would be the most bold entry of the bunch to send to ESC. Unless she has an extremely special and intimate live performance it stands no chance in hell though...

Worst Eesti Laul in years.

Apart from "6", no song was genuinely interesting to me.
Most songs sounded rather generic and basic.
I could live with "Free Again" and "We Could Have Been Beautiful".
