This should be my final pre-show ranking. Have not seen any rehearsals, by the way.


1. From last 2020 to 1st 2021! A class act!
2. Fun and original. Has me singing in bad Danish!
3. Message, attitude, harmonies & kick-ass moves
4. What a band!
5. A wholesome celebration of true lurve. And he let me sing on it!
6. How can you not love this?
7. Totally unique. We need this.
8. Hits me emotionally every time.
9. Makes me wanna dance (badly)
10. The voice, the arrangement...


11. Great song and lyrics. Makes me feel positive.
12. Could have gone the wrong way (like 2020) but that final minute is everything!
13. More classy vibes.


14. Fun with great bass.
15. I've a bit of a weak spot for this sort of thing. Come on Norge!
16. A definite grower. Stands out now all the songs are chosen
17. Another grower. Simple but effective
18. I get why this isn't so popular, but cosy and classy is sometimes enough for me.
19. Constantly changing banger. This is what it's all about.
20. Fading a bit, but it's good, childish rock and there's a part of me that's here for it.


21. Great voice! Loving the song, although wish it evolved a bit more.
22. A bit of an attack on the senses, but still a decent bop.
23. I can't hate this. Hope it's fun on stage.
24. Love the verses, the chorus a bit less. The lyrics about "nasty dudes" and "my pot of gold" are among my favourites, though.


25. Last year it was the live I fell in love with, so hoping for the same this year. A bit disappointed so far.
26. Decent Albanian entry, but gets a bit lost.
27. Probably like this more than I should, 'cause it's nothing special. Enjoyed his live at the ES Preparty


28. It does what it does okay. Might wow me on the night.
29. Enjoy it when it's on, but can't give it much more love than this.
30. I'm not getting this. It feels a bit serious. It's fine, might win me over when I see it live.
31. All criticism of this is 100% valid, yet I can't bring myself to hate it despite it being a kind of competent trainwreck.


32. Still makes me want to sing along in an Eddie Vedder voice. It's okay, but I can live without it.
33. Poor Eden! Song goes nowhere and the lyrics get on my nerves.


34. A missed opportunity on every level. Sigh.
35. Boring, unoriginal, so-called bop. Take a good, hard look at San Marino.
36. Once again I just don't get this at all. Doesn't take me anywhere.


37. The more I hear it, the less I like it. And what's that awful noise before the 2nd chorus, anyway?


38. They had a year to come up with this cliché-filled telenovela theme. And, like Austria, they put in a random stupid noise before the 2nd verse for no reason. I despair.


39: Tusse may be bursting with charisma, but the song is a charisma black hole and sucks it all out of him. In fact, it just sucks. Period.

In conclusion, a damned good year and just what we need right now. I'm avoiding news about the rehearsals and already suffering withdrawal symptoms, so next Tuesday can't come soon enough.

Finally, I would be ecstatic with a win, but would be delighted with anyone in my top 13 doing it. Other wishes include seeing , , , and in the final (cause none of them are a sure thing); a good result for and a fair result for and

Just my opinions:

1.10/10 - Love it. Winner in my eyes.
2.9.5/10 - Really good song, clearly one of the best in it to me.
3.9.5/10 - Very infectious.
4.9/10 - Good song and love the comedy gimmicks.
5.8/10 - Like the uniqueness and the group's deadpan authoritative style. Catchy song as well.
6.7.5/10 - Nice melody and girl has a nice voice.
7.7.5/10 - Love the instrumental on this one.
8.7/10 - Song a bit all over the place but the girl has so much character/charisma.
9.7/10 - Decent Linkin Park style song, stands out in Eurovision.
10.7/10 - Decent catchy upbeat entry.
11.6.5/10 - Like the fun factor of it but slightly monotonous.
12.6/10 - Decent if a little typical for Eurovision.
13.5.5/10 - Like the fast flowing verses but for me it has a weak chorus.
14.5.5/10 - Good song and good singer just a little boring for me to score it higher.
15.5/10 - Perfectly listenable but very generic with poor lyrics.
16.5/10 - Don't know whether to love it or hate it, settled for right in the middle.
17.5/10 - Kind of like the above in that respect.
18.5/10 - Like some of her vocals but the song is a bit all over the place.
19.5/10 - Like the Ariana Grande high pitched notes but other than that unmemorable.
20.5/10 - Another listenable but unmemorable one.
21.5/10 - Again not bad but doesn't stand out.
22.5/10 - Better than many UK entries but still too bland to do more than make up the numbers.
23.5/10 - Again a decent enough song but forgettable.
24.4.5/10 - Maybe under 5 is harsh for this but I remember not liking the video.
25.4/10 - Again maybe harsh. Not terrible but throwaway material really.
26.4/10 - Started off sounding like it was going somewhere then it didn't. Anticlimactic chorus.
27.3/10 - Poor song for me. Singer has some presence but even that is mainly just a loud voice.
28.3/10 - 3 could be harsh but I just wasn't feeling it.
29.2.5/10 - Singer's voice could have been good with a good song but this is definitely not one.
30.2/10 - Largely forgotten it but didn't want to listen in full twice.
31.2/10 - A nothing song and not sure about his vocals.
32.2/10 - Can't remember anything about it, not a good sign.
33.1/10 - Boring.
34.1/10 - Song is so bad it could have had comedy value if delivered more ironically.
35.1/10 - Did nothing for me, didn't want to listen more than once.
36.0.5/10 - Painfully boring, 3 minutes felt like an hour.
37.0.5/10 - Sounded completely improvised by someone struggling for inspiration.
38.0.5/10 - Awful song.
39.0/10 - Hideous stuff. I gave half a point to the 3 above just for not being this song.

This is the least enthusiastic I've ever been for a Eurovision final. I love two songs. The 8s are all solid entires I get some enjoyment from but I don't feel hyped for them in the same way. A lot of stuff has dropped down with me, some quite considerably like Belgium. Only one song I'm still quite confused about and that's Portugal. There's nothing to dislike about the composition (actually I like it) but the vocals are hugely off putting. I'm trying to look past the vocal style but it's difficult. I'm sad I waited two years to be disappointed so deeply. Kind of an empty feeling right now but at least I can cheer for San Marino. They've been my number 1 country in the final each time they've qualified.
