Um ... hello  it's time to announce that the twistiest, speciest forum game is set to return to return in 2nd half of March! xcheer

The game will be as dramatic as in the previous years, so brace yourselves. xhmmm

pwj6b.jpg

Also, this edition's main hosts will be Jukica (who is returning after being absent the last year) and ParadiseES! xcheer

Rules and everything else will be announced soon, but a few announcements:
 • The game will contain elements from both the ESC BB 2017 and previous editions.
 • Due to hosts being busy/absent in late April/early May, the game will finish pretty early (until 26th April).
 • We are again messing up with the finalists with putting them in semi-finals!
 • Everyone who posts in this thread before the game will start will be able to become one of the Head of Household winners, so start posting! xcheer
 • If you have any suggestions, feel free to post them here. :D

While we are waiting for the rules, let me explain the general idea for the game. Each round will have 3 Head of Households who will have the power to choose 3 songs which will be nominated. Each one of them will send 3 nominations and overall result will give us 3 nominations. After that, voting starts after what 1 song will be eliminated. :D Just check the visual explanation below:

Don't worry about the rules, I will write everything in the posts / PMs. :D

To sum up, the most important words for this game are: strategy and drama.

So, if you thought that this game won't be dramatic: :p

How is this played? :)
I've never played this.... Can someone tell the rules
Things change slightly from year to year, but the rules in the first post of last year's thread should give you a bit of an idea: http://escunited.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=1786606

Essentially, it's a game of anti-voting, where you try to eliminate the songs that aren't your favourites, and use strategic voting to try and make sure your favourites are the last songs left standing.

I will post the official rules in a few days, but the idea will be similar to the previous years: Each round there are 3 songs nominated (by the Head of Households) and people vote for the song they want to eliminate. It's up to each person how they will vote, they can vote for the song they don't like or they can organize with a few members to strategically vote for one song. This game is very fun and very dramatic, those who vote in the game always have a good time. :D

Me and ParadiseES are usually the game hosts and we always have a few interesting things ready to make game more exciting and fun. xcheer e.g. One of them is April Fools round (similar to what Diggiloo used to do), everyone always loves those. :D

Couldn't it be made simpler by just voting a song out you don't like?

In theory, yes but if you have a song that you really want to win it is in your best interest to keep the weaker songs in the competition. This way your song has an easier time winning in the end.
