OMG! I can't believe that TRT didn't broadcast the interval act with Madcon, it is amazing! I just watched it on YouTube! Great!!!

They were broadcasting it on TRT-Müzik.
I couldn't get why they did not broadcast on TRT-1, maybe to earn money from advertisements.

I had posted this article in Azerbaijani thread at ESCforums but I have decided to post it here as well cause all of us remember how people were blaming Azerbaijan in "spending millions of euros" and "buying" the contest.

Azerbaijan announces budget for preparation to Eurovision 2010

Head of the Azerbaijani delegation at the Eurovision 2010 contest dismisses rumors spread by Russian mass media.

"Do not believe Russian media who write about 10 millions of spending for preparation to Eurovision 2010 contest. Our budget was just AZN 1,560,000 (1 AZN is slightly less than 1 Euro). It included expenses for national semifinal and final as well as promotion tours and video clip. We had 3 sponsors. One of them is SOCAR and two other sponsors did not want their names to be declared", said Adil Kerimli.

The head of the Azerbaijani delegation in Eurovision 2010 also spoke on the expenses for Safura's album.
"The Safura's European album was not included into the budget, its release was conducted by European producers who saw a potential and started to cooperate with her", said Kerimli.

And what about this artcle?

Azerbaijan accused of cheating
Azerbaijan – French-Syrian businessman Omar Harfouch accuses Azerbaijan of cheating on the French website jeanmarcmorandini.com. He claims Azerbaijan exerted pressure on jurors of several countries, paying bribes through Azerbaijani embassies in these countries. He also stated earlier that Azerbaijan had sent money to its embassies so the personal could vote for their country and influence the televote espacially in smaller countries. According to Omar Harfouch, the bribes total sum amounted to $20 million.

Meanwhile, Adil Kerimli has refuted Russian media reports, that the participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, including the National Final, preview video, promotion and the actual performance of the song “Drip Drop” cost over 10 million Euro. Kerimli said that about 1,6 million Euro were spent for Safura and the song, which is still quite a lot of money. They had several sponsors helping them, including the countries’ oil company SOCAR.

Azerbaijan was represented by Safura, who was the hot favorite before the contest and achieved a 5th place.

And even if (if...) we admit that it was "only" so "little"-1.5 mln.euro don't you think that it is already more that 10 mln euros in European way of living (if we consider, that an average salary of Azerbaijani is about 160 AZN (slightly less that 160 euro)?
Well, afterall,SOLAR is SOLAR,powerful oil company in this time of crisis (especially in European countries' crisis).

Anyway, what done is done and besides,I am very happy that Germany won the contest as Satellite was one of my favourites.

^ and do you consider the average level of prices in Azerbaijan? or we just pay attention to low salaries in order to blame their broadcaster in something ;)

We do not judge broadcasters on ESC we vote for songs, thanks.

As for that ridiculous article that you posted...

Unfortunately this is a load of bullcrap.

The original article on jeanmarcmorandini.com does NOT feature such words.

Omar Harfouch has Lebanese origin, not Syrian.

Omar Harfouch is a brother of the 1st Vice president of Ukrainian broadcaster Valid Harfouch. And Ukraine gave Azerbaijan 12 pts.

Now stop spreading this lies people if you have at least some respect for me and our broadcaster

i love the jury now belgium was really underrathed in the final by televoting probaly he lose many votes because of the draw in the semi he was number three 5 points after greece and three i think after iceland so i think he lose many votes because he and cyprus song both soon each other and because 7 is not a good draw.

but i,m very not happy that SPAIN AND RUSSIA get more votes than songs like Belgium and Cyprus + many others

I'm glad to see there's not such a difference between televoting results and overall results for Germany and Turkey. Otherwise i'd be upset :D
