After having seen the brand video, the design grew on me, but I'm still quite on the fence about it.

It reminds me of 2007's design, with the different patterns and the motion style. Just 10 years later :)

Graphic Designer here (anybody else ? maybe that could be interesting)

I absolutely love it : less is more. Just some circles, a pattern inside it and we're done and the colors of the countries in just shapes like that, that's brilliant. The style guidelines shows a lot of stuff and it's very interesting. I guess the colors of the original logo are made for the differences, it uplifts the "red" while it gaves to the dark blue more depth (and maybe cause you have to find colors that does not make you think of a country of ESC and that's a hard task I guess)

I don't really have a high opinion of marketing, I tend to look at videos like that and go "what a load of codswallop"

I guess that it's good the design is good enough to gloss over that ;) Really don't know why some people have been critical, I still think it looks brilliant - it makes a great livery for the Metro and the coach too. The colours are lovely and very 'neutral' - they don't make you think of any Eurovision country. I guess they could have been blue and yellow for the colours of Ukraine, that would have given a lighter feel to the design, but obviously Ukraine didn't feel shameless self-promotion was in-keeping with the "Celebrate Diversity" theme ;)

Unlike the Swedish dandelion logo which really had nothing to do with the theme "Come Together", the different sizes/patterns/designs in the Ukrainian logo, as well as the blue/pink colours, are definitely inkeeping with a "Celebrate Diversity" theme.

The design looks really nice in the video and apparently there will be lots of awesome merchandising as well.

I like how the basic ESC song covers look this year. The text and logo positions are various and fit the picture almost perfectly. Not like last year's which is just the usual "put the text on the bottom" cover

BTW i screenshot those from Spotify, sorry if it's a bit asymmetrical
