Denmark went from 18th to 13th in the odds during the show. That's a victory in itself.

Unpopular opinion here but no matter how good a singer Sissal is, the song is at best mediocre. This 2000's-era schlager that sounds like a bad Melfest entry is not how I'd have liked to see Denmark come back in the final :-(

I don't care what era it is. The Icelandic song is from some other era but is surely worse. The Finnish one is from some other age I guess too and has a weak chorus for me. I wish Melfest had better songs.

Im happy for Sissal she qualified witch i did'nt expected ...... I don't watch our national finals anymore they just sucks... I hope DR will end the live shows and spend more money on staging instead

The only two televote points Denmark got came from Iceland.

Denmark didn't give Norway any points and received zero from Norway. And zero from Sweden. This is in line with the results from recent years.

If there is a Nordic block, it's weak.

That would be plain stupid. Melodi Grand Prix remains a big success. That's more important than the result of the competition. And should be in other countries. In fact, I think public national finals should be compulsory.

Clearly her song was not received well.in Southern Europe. I can see why, but maybe they bombed this too much. I personally liked it.

I didn´t expect anything, but because people found Sissal "soo likable" they kinda overhyped her and thought this could do better than expected.

So the bookmakers were not too far off predicting a 27th spot for Denmark before Basel. On the other hand, a 13th-18th place after the semi was a bit too optimistic obviously. Denmark ended up between those which makes sense after being 8th in the semi.

It's a slightly disappointing Grand Final result (a 20th spot would have been more reasonable than 23rd, especially because her performance was better than in the semi), but all in all the deviations were not too shocking.

Denmark will be disappointed about Finland. Finland gave Denmark 8 points in the semi, so statistically, a point or two from Finland would have been probable.

Other than that, the result shows that the Nordic block is a weak one. For Denmark, Iceland is just about the only ally.

Did not like this one, felt like a X factor performance compared to a Eurovision performance. Was surprised it got to the final.
