YEEEEESSSSSS!!! At least my 12 votes weren't in vain - Sissal, you legend, you deserve every single minute of the celebration I'm sure you're gonna have tonight! But don't go too hard - final on Saturday will come around before you know to! xheat

So happy for Denmark!!!! (One of the rare moments when i get to root for this country hahah). The bubble-at-large was all doom and gloom about her chances, but she did iiiit. xheart

It's funny. I spent my first few years on the forum with Denmark as the butt of every joke I could possibly make. I thought their entries were stale, stodgy, offputting, just so beyond not my thing. Point is, I really hated the Danish Eurovision presence in the 2010s (Soluna my dear this is NOT about you) and how many of their songs that landed with me like a thud went for strong results.

Then something really weird happened.

Somehow, someway, Denmark, who still struggled to shake off the "not a good ESC country for me" allegations for years into this, kept sending entries I enjoyed. In fact, Denmark now have a whopping four appearances in my personal top 10 in the last five years. That ties a record contestwide. I only really strongly disliked the 2023 entry. Unfortunately, right as I inexplicably, unbeknownst to me, somehow, someway fell in love with Denmark at Eurovision, Danish entries stopped qualifying. These years coincide with a brutal NQ streak and three really tough losses in semifinals for me. And when Sissal's staging got revealed to improve not nearly enough from DMGP and her vocals stepped down, I thought "oh well...that's it...a fifth." But NO!!! She made it!!!

I'm absolutely thrilled to be able to cheer for Denmark in a Eurovision final. I hope you can take in a johnny-come-lately to The Denmark Experience as I "yass queen!!!" my way through that big note leading into the final chorus (which I think she can improve upon from today's performance. Something to look forward to on the weekend).

I never ever doubted her, from the moment I heard that vocal at the NF - I knew this girl had absolute star power! 🤩

Nice to have so many of my personal Top 10 for the year through - Saturday will be an amazing show ❤️

The staging really improved, that's for sure. Not sure this will find enough of a niche to be top 15, but i hope Denmark can keep on improving, from being the weakest, most undefinable Nordic country.

I was so pleasantly surprised about the staging, my least favourite part is the very ending they use for the recaps but everything else is stunning!

SHE DESERVED IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't really like the staging but both Sissal and the song are just too good to stay in the semi

It's my favorite Danish entry from the millennium and I am glad it was the one who broke the streak. xcheer

Since yesterday Denmark has climbed a few places in the odds - now 18th, even ahead of Greece! I thought the running order would be regarded as a step back for Denmark's chances.
