Hopefully DR will actually revamp DMGP this time around. They said they'd do it in 2016 but once again 7 or 8 of the 10 songs sounded the same.

Actually, I think that they should reject any boyband willing to take part next year because teenage girls may strike again
Seriously, it's time to redesign the whole concept of their national final and stop selecting songs that are dull asdishwater Danishwater.
My faith in humanity was restored after these two failures in a row, but I would be much happier if Danes were actually trying to push the boundaries at their level for once.

Yeah, I've been wondering about what's going on in Denmark these past couple of years. I usually havent kept up with DMGP, because they always seemed to pull through with something decent. I watched DMGP for the first time this year, and there were easily 3 or 4 better entries. Perhaps veering away from the boybands is a good idea, but also diversifying the pool of entries would leave a lasting impact -- would rather have more kinds of entries than limiting genres. "Nordic pop" has become mainstream, and Sweden is the (unofficial) standard bearer. The rest of the Nordic states need to find their niche, perhaps Denmark can benefit from more female entrants?
