Ok so I listened to the 7 songs and yes this is a decent selection, but definitely not on 2020's level, the 2 standout songs IMO are Jezinky and Imma be, I hope either one of the wins, the rest are also decent but not impactful enough imo.

If they can perform well, The Valentines will definitely bring the Czech Republic back to the grand final. This screams Jury Top 3 material in the semi and honestly, I think it is even catchier/more instant that "A Friend of a Friend" and thus, it might be even a bit more successful with the televoters?

"By Now" 8/10
What chemistry! Love their voices. - Love the few French verses. What a sophisticated piece. I just wish the production was a bit better - it needs to be more instant, imo - but I love the built-up - especially when the strings and the backings kick in. It needs a slight revamp but overall, I think I do really like this one!

"Runnin´ Out Of F* Time" 6/10
Sounds like a rock/pop song straight from the mid-00`s - especially when one takes it into account how the pop verses constrats the rock and catchy chorus. I do like it.. it is a nice throwback to the hits of Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson from the post-Bubblegum pop era but I don´t think it would do wonders on the Eurovision stage.

"Way Down" 5/10
It is too watered-down for me. All rock songs in this month´s Orient Matsuri`s edition are way superior - Bulgaria`s artist got a way better lead singer - "Way Down" sounds so flat and dull (sonically and vocally) until 2:00 - The growls are top-notch and brings the whole song to life.. but after that very short Middle 8 part, the song continues to sound like a highschool teen rock/pop band.... it is a mixed bag for me.

"Lights Off" 5/10
I´ve stopped listening to these kind of tracks but overall, I guess it´s a well-thought and well-produced EDM track? Not my cup of tea, though.

"Imma Be" 2/10
I´m afraid that she will win after ending up being the runner-up last time but honestly, I heavily dislike her voice in the verses - Her voice is unbearable and unpleasant to my ears. The chorus seems to be alright, though, but overall, I think that I don´t want to listen to the song ever agian.


All in all, it is a decent to good national final - even though I don´t have a clear favourite!

My top 3 be like:

The Valentines - instant flashbacks of Lake Malawi and Mikolas Josef tho.
GIUDI - I like what I see , I can't stand what I hear

. But she's gonna stand out for sure.
We Are Domi - probably the only song that I really enjoy, but the jury will (rightfully) butcher them. Not much vocals here, it's good for the radio but not for the competition, her stage presence needs an improvement too.

I'll give high points in the poll to any of those 3.
