He was 100% my type when I was 16-21. He has that cheeky, charismatic look in his eye. He's particularly attractive in the shot in Omaga when he's looking directly in into the camera (during the office scene).

Don't quite know how this has happened, but is suddenly knocking on the door of my Top 10. The production just gets me everytime I hear it now, but it has taken a long time to bed in at least for me (I always enjoyed it but it was never a Top 10 contender, more so because of the vocals I think).
Still a definite borderline qualifier though and everything will no doubt hang on the staging and performance

People are seriously underestimating the power of Benny's stage presence.
Ben is featured on a new single by John Wolfhooker - that's Filip Vlček's band (the producer and back-vocalist on Omaga)

I'm afraid this song isn't doing anything for me, I actually prefer the 2020 entry. This is melodically boring, lyrically stupid and repetitive. It tries a bit to sound like if Justin Timberlake went 90's Britpop, an odd combo in the first place but could have maybe been interesting with a stronger melody and composition, which this one totally lacks. A bottom 10 for me.

This is a really good song from the Czech Republic. It's sort of on-trend too, which is a little bonus. The vocals aren't too shabby, either. It's not the perfect song (the vocals in the chorus can drag on-and-on), but it's close. If this song isn't in the Final, it'll be a little shame, I think. 10 points

The song has been out for months and it still hasn't grown on me yet I don't mind it if it comes up but not once have I looked it up to listen to it intentionally.
I hope the performance will be amazing because I really want to wholeheartedly support Ben.

Benny Cristo - omaga - Czech Republic
It's a good thing Czech Reublic tries and sends a quality song, it is fun and positive. Benny seems to a really nice guy. Song is an ok, radio-friendly song. I don't have much to say about it. It's not a skip for me, it's better than most of song we have this year. But I do not think it stands out.

I love that Ben is experimenting with more rock-ish music lately. It suits him surprisingly well. It's been amazing to watch how his music career and he as an artist progressed over the last 12 years.
Vocally not the best, but ESC is not The Voice. Benny has never been the greatest singer (although he's improved a lot over the years and I am pretty sure they will use some prerecorded vocals
). Benny's magic is his charisma and stage presence and I am pretty sure he will deliver a great show.
