Nations or members in cyan have entered NSC at least once before.


Waiting list (WL) rules:
  • Voting in each final of NSC as part of the waiting list jury is compulsory.
  • Any waiting list nations who fail to vote will be moved 2 places down on the list.
  • Nations who fail to vote 2 finals in a row will be removed from the list.
  • Under certain circumstances waiting list nations can take a break from voting in the finals if a solid reason is given. During that period of time the position of the nation on the waiting list remains frozen and it can move neither up nor down.
  • Nations with 'NSC XXX' beside them will debut/return in the next contest.
  • Nations with 'NSC XXX?' beside them can send a reserve entry to the next contest.

First of all, welcome to NSC! If you have any questions regarding the contest, feel free to post them in this thread or ask one of the mods: @Stargazer, @berlyda or @Veronika.

In order to get familiar with the contest, please take a look at the RULES!

If you want to apply for a place in NSC (or if you want to return), simply send a PM to Stargazer - you'll be added to the waiting list (see above).

Please note that you are probably going to be waiting for a long time as there is a strong demand for spots on the roster. In the meantime, you may enter the Waiting List contest, vote in the semi-finals of NSC and take part in the various spin-off contests if you wish to. Don't forget that voting in the finals is compulsory.

The WL rules section could probably use an update now xthink (as well as the wiki page because the OP links to it, although I think only Joch and Dan are able to do that)

Yeah, when I wrote that message I felt like it was probably something I should know about, hence the :censored: emoji.

My memory is deficient in a lot of areas, so this doesn't surprise me :p I guess I had already forgotten about it by the time the first rule change passed.

@Stargazer I am a bit confused, what do the WLSC editions by our names on the WL mean? Should I be worried 245 edition is not next to mine because I participated in it.

I am not as involved in the contest as I used to be, but as I remember the 2 consecutive WLSC participations equal not being obliged to vote in NSC and so on if I continue to participate. Am I wrong?

The WLSC editions next to the names are the WLSC editions those members voted in. I thought I had checked every voter from 245, but must have missed to add yours. It's been done now, sorry about that. xrose So since you have voted in the past two WLSC editions, you don't have to vote in the NSC 210 final. :)

That was not a decision of mine. I'm already out cause i haven't voted for two NSC editions in a row so it's only fair to be removed. And to be honest: It's better that it happened. As much as i loved NSC in the past, it seems that at the moment i'm not able to give enough attention to it. I still love the concept, the music, the community, the effort hosts puts in their shows and the effort the mods puts in the whole thing. So the problem is not the contest.

Thanks for the many nice (and sad) reactions under my post above. :) I hope i will come back and that i can make it then trough the waiting period without struggling.

That should be the roster finally updated for the NSC 211 edition, @Leaf! :D

We sadly have to say goodbye to both ::sol and ::riy who both decided to leave us :( but we also get to welcome (and welcome back) New Acadia and Bagrovor to the roster! xheat

Flag icons should hopefully not be too long.

I noticed that, but it's vague if you ask me. Would be great if it the moderation board could be a bit more transparent about it. Not that I am questioning the decision being made, it rather seems a bit out of the blue.
