Waiting list (WL) rules:

• Voting in each final of NSC as part of the waiting list jury is compulsory.
• Any waiting list nations who fail to vote will be moved 2 places down on the list.
• Nations who fail to vote 2 finals in a row will be removed from the list.
• Under certain circumstances waiting list nations can take a break from voting in the finals if a solid reason is given. During that period of time the position of the nation on the waiting list remains frozen and it can move neither up nor down.
• Nations with 'NSC XXX' beside them will debut/return in the next contest.
• Nations with 'NSC XXX?' beside them can send a reserve entry to the next contest.

First of all, welcome to NSC! If you have any questions regarding the contest, feel free to post them in this thread or ask one of the mods: @Stargazer, @berlyda or @Veronika.

In order to get familiar with the contest, please take a look at the RULES!

If you want to apply for a place in NSC (or if you want to return), simply send a PM to Stargazer - you'll be added to the waiting list (see above).

Please note that you are probably going to be waiting for a long time as there is a strong demand for spots on the roster. In the meantime, you may enter the Waiting List contest, vote in the semi-finals of NSC and take part in the various spin-off contests if you wish to. Don't forget that voting in the finals is compulsory.

Is anyone having hellish deja-vu reading this whole conversation unfolding? It feels like only a few months back that we were having a similar debate that went the exact same way and resulted in no change. But then again, I'm getting old and time is flying so much quicker than it should

I have no further insights when it comes to a solution to this issue, but are we going to work out the Aimulli situation first maybe?

It would probably be best if the WL stuff continued in that thread Vasilije started rather than it going on in 2 places at once. Especially when we're still dealing with Aimulli.

I still fully support the compromise Berlyda put forward that Aimulli goes on the WL under Alex and Nicolas stay on the roster under a new nation, or withdraw if he so wishes

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that Nicolas was part of Aimulli for a while before Alex disappeared? Which is part of the reason why the ownership change kind of went unnoticed back then?

Anyway, it seems I was more liberal than most in this case, which I understand. I endured the pain of WL for a full week, so I admit I missed the perception of those who recently spent a long time on the WL.
But I don't understand why Alex can't simply join Aimulli, for joint ownership? Joining someone was never considered foul-play in the past. I think even Kordavian Islands was a single-member nation at first.

This is correct, they were co-jurors for quite a while before Alex slipped away. And because it wasn't officially announced he was leaving, (at least I don't remember it as such) people didn't realize it for a long time.

I thought so too, but then people told me that was not the case. Anyhow, the poll regarding the Aimulli situation has been opened. You can find it here.

I have put it in the Private Forum so we can keep it anonymous and also guarantee we don't have any outsiders voting. If any WLers want to vote, you are welcome to send me a PM with your vote and I will add it to the totals. The options are simple: either Alex can join the main roster immediately, or Alex has to join the WL.

There's a bit of a special situation with Redwood Republic. Charly had asked for a break already before last edition, but then he also failed to vote on top of that. He still gets his break since it was already granted, but will have to sit out on the edition upon his return.

I'm sad to see you go Sigi, but I understand the decision It's a decision I almost made a few times in the past, for the same reasons. Noizeland will always have a special place in my heart, and your fantastic taste will be missed. I hope you consider returning someday!
