Croatia is the country I want to visit the most so I just need them back for that and win the contest.

That would be great but we don't really have an artist that could win... and I really mean it. ^^ I'd like a final for a start.
As for my wishes, Natali Dizdar is by far my first choice followed by Nipplepeople and Lovely Quinces.

Re: CROATIA 2016

There were some rumors that Croatia already in 2015. should send winner of The Voice at Eurovision. But that didn't happen as The Voice was late. But, first season of The Voice Croatia just finished few days ago and they are already announcing new season (should happen by the end of this year), so I really believe there is chance to look winner of The Voice at eurovision stage next year. Actually, it was already written in this newspapers (and Jutarnji is relevant paper in Croatia, it is not that they will write something wrong that easily).

But if you ask me, of course, if Croatia is back, I wouldn't have anything against to see winner of this, first season of The Voice at eurovision. Nina Kraljić is just amazing and her mentor Jacques Houdek, but her colleagues from The Voice told that they owuld like to see her at eurovision stage.

Oh I had no idea about this... :D hmm seems like they have been talking about it with the producers. First we need to wait and see what direction she chooses in her career. I personally think she should stick with the mellow slightly alternative pop, that's where she's acing. Although I can't digest her voice I think she would be a perfect choice for ESC, not sure who should be the composer though. Anyway this actually makes me wanna apply for the Voice... seems so tempting, unfortunately I don't have a voice. :'D

I am from Croatia and I don't like Nina Kraljic.Maybe she's good choice and voice, but we would get underrated because we don't have lot of negibhourgs.

You have got quite many neighbours and/or friends in Eurovision, you have just been pretty bad in picking songs to Eurovision the latest years (of the ones from 2004 and forward I only liked 2004 and 2007 tbh). Though I might agree that Nina Kraljic isn't perfect, I feel she is a bit old-fashioned and really need the right song to do herself justice.

HRT won't broadcast the ESC this year at all (semifinals nor final) for the first time in history........so we are totally "out" it seems.

Of course, Croatia's return in 2016 sounds now like a science fiction, but it's not ruled out because of not broadcasting this year contest. A lot of countries came back without it - Italy, Austria, Poland, Czech Rep......

Indeed, it could be that they just think they better don't broadcast it if they don't participate in it.. But it's still a little sour...

Oh come on, why all this sudden change of attitude?!

I miss Croatia, they have given a lot to the contest and whilst they did go downhill post-2006, they did at least stay true to their language & culture!

They probably think that bad results will lead to decline of views and ratings or something like that, so they decided not to bother promoting ESC.

I find that to be utter nonsense, as everyone claims that ESC is one of the most viewed stuff on HRT, despite the fact that we are not being successful.

Bad results, bad results...

just look at Austria, or the Netherlands last year! Not saying they'll do as well this year but at least interest is higher than it was 2-3 years ago.

I agree, I mean, I am 100% sure that absolutely noone thought Austria would host the contest 10 years later, when they sent this madness in 2005...

Re: CROATIA 2016

Well, the difference is that our team for eurovision is not motivated at all. Yes, they would like to witness good results, but they don´t even wanna put the slightest drop of sweat in order to achieve that. Pure laziness.

Not sure if you had already seen this video, but this pretty much displays the attitude that we are discussing here.
