Blackmere is a mysterious and isolated country located in the polar climate zone on the island of the same name.

Blackmere has a very thriving navy and a lot of shipbuildings which contribute to the country's economy. Apart from that, Blackmerish breweries are worldwide known and science and culture are very advanced. Tourism is still not developed, but there's a campaign to appeal people to come to Blackmere and discover untouched natural beauties. Blackmere is a very forested country due to concern for the environment.

When it comes to taste of Blackmerish people, worldwide mainstream songs are not something they are interested into. It is very unlikely to hear a mainstream song on a local radio. The country has a very rich folk tradition and a lot of produced songs are part of this genre. There's also a great metal, post-rock, ethereal/new age and alternative music scene. Blackmerish people are mostly liberal, peaceful, introverted and have no interest in religion.
