Backup jury results 2007?

Hello.

In "Inför ESC" ("Before ESC") 2008, led by Christer Björkman, he said on that Germany in 2007 (Roger Cicero - Frauen regier'n die Welt), came 6th in the "back-up jury", and that this was the reason for the jury return in 2008.
Obviously, being the guy that he is, he would know that. At the time I didn't understand how he did - I thought he was just a show host. He mentioned it like it was public news.

That's the only sort of result I've seen from the back-up jury, though. So I was wondering if this has ever been made public somehow?

I've been googling like crazy, and never found anything relating to this, even mentioning that apparently Germany got 6th place.
If there is somewhere to ask, surely it must be this forum! :)

We don´t know anymore than that :de: was 6th and :gr: 13th, and I highly doubt EBU will release any results prior to 2014, (I really hope they will do it)

My guess is that "Dancing Lasha Tumbai" wouldn't have come close to second and "Molitva" would have increased its margin over the rest of the field considerably, but the juries are weird; who knows?

CC92,
are you sure these are 50-50 results ?
Because Germany being 6th is very high.

^ Yes. Germany makes sense considering how much juries are prone to this genre; Italy 2011 being the same story. I find it more fascinating that they managed to bring Turkey down to 14th place, but the points might of been very close.

As much as I love our entry that year I am really wondering why it's so high. It has nothing that usually appeals to the juries xshrug

All banter and lulz aside it's our own fault we sent bad or unremarkable songs that don't get the televotes... if we try harder we get rewards (02, 09, 11)

BAD OR UNREMARKABLE!? songs like "Cry Baby" or "Touch My Fire" are songs of the highest quality, which only did bad due to the eastern European political voting. xslap seriously though, you are completely right. :(

The only song of those that I feel was robbed on a good score was James Fox 2004. The others were sadly very very bad

I know I was joking lol. I do agree with James Fox though, that was quite a nice song which i felt was underrated in the voting. I feel like it was a song the juries would have liked.

Oh wow. That is really interesting. You mean that those are the pure jury results, right? Since it coincides with what was said in the programme, that Germany placed 6th in the jury vote. If they placed 6th in the 50/50, that must have meant that Germany won or something.
As I understood it, they didn't refine the 50/50 method until 2009, when it was applied.

The list shows the combined results of jury and televoting. It is likely that Germany ranked among the Top-3 of the jury-only-table even if other scenarios are possible, too. My guess is that it merely got phrased unclearly on the show.
