I hope they send something different, I'm sickened with their obsession with euro-ballads. Maybe a folk song in native language similar to Aysel or a rock song if possible. I would not mind seeing Aysel again anyway.

Would be great to see a azeri composition. (Hence not a swedish) I think Europe are ready for this.

One could think that a country with almost 9.5 million people would atleast have some local talents (and no just lending lead vocals doesn't count imo)
It's a pity, I would like to hear something made in Azerbaijan for a change...

Me too, but I think if they send something local, they won't reach the top 10 so the government and the president are not going to be happy and will blame the TV company (which is ruled by the state anyway), so it won't happen

No we can be successful of our own. 2008 was proof that we can be on top 10. I mean i don't care the point at this time. We have the best result that no one reached in a last 5 years. But enough! Either withdraw or local song!!

Yeah I really would love to hear a local song from Azerbaijan next year. The hints of culture we got from Sabina was beautiful. I'd love a full on song with the similar ethnic instruments that were sprinkled on top of her entry.
