People with the Gjon's Tears comparisons were really spot on. Unfortunately this was a staging that I also loathed lol, and I can't say I overly liked this one either (though the majority obviously felt very different about Switzerland 2021 and probably Austria this year so it does not mean much lol).

I felt like the whole final explosion fell so flat though. I remember listening to the song for the first time, I actually got goosebumps and wondered how epic this final minute was going to be staged and mh, didn't really have a big impact on me today. Wasn't terrible but just ok.

The song is still cool. Opera is always a bit divisive I guess.

The staging is somewhat of a let down for me - some camera angles look weird and the EDM part is not very convincing. However, JJs voice is even more amazing live IMO, and given this is a weaker year, that alone is enough to still make this my winner.

And when he teared up after the performances, it felt like you could really see the pressure. He is just such a sweet little bean

The live performance was an upgrade for me, mainly due to JJ himself. He was passionate and his live vocals were very pleasant and not scratchy at all, which was a problem for me in studio cut.

I'd say the staging is acceptable. Some camera angles could be better, for instance when he hangs the lamp thing onto the pole and when he starts "swinging" the camera doesn't follow him right away. It kind of distracted me from his storytelling. I know they are small details, but since I noticed them I thought I'd mention them.

I wouldn't mind it winning.

I'm mesmerized by the last section of this song when the tempo goes faster but it lasts only 10--15 seconds, I looked for a good remix that made that part prolonged and more highlighted but couldn't find it.

I think JJ has improved the non operatic part of the song which earlier was a bit his weakness.

Malena Ernman who sang opera in 2009 for Sweden had good operatic part but weaker normal singing voice. In the normal singing musical stars are often better.
