Re: AUSTRALIA 2016

The question is: will they return or not?

If the EBU stick to their word then no. Tonight Again is no winner

Yes, I think Australia may well become a permanent fixture.

I support their participation in the future and here's why

1-eurovision is more popular there, than in some european countries like georgia, italy or czech republic
2-most of australians are descendants of europeans anyway
3-the more,the merrier

p.s. i'm keeping my signature for 2016 in hopes someone important from EBU sees it:mrgreen:

Re: AUSTRALIA 2016

Let's be real here, Australia is here to stay. Whether or not they'll be back in 2016 remains to be seen, but the EBU is clearly planning on making it a permanent thing. If you pay attention to the interviews of Jon Ola Sand and Sietse Bakker, they clearly talk but how awesome it would be to have other nations take part as well such as the United States or South Africa.

So I expect Australia to return in 2016, or at least in the years to come.

They will definitely be in the Eurovision again even if they don't win

Re: AUSTRALIA 2016

Then pandora box will be open for other non European countries set to participate in ESC...

Sure, EBU has already said they could open the door to other countries in the future... and we know that everything can happen with EBU. Through Australia's participation they've created a precedent.

Tonight Again is a good song and he is for sure going to score well. I don't think they are going to win though, but I still hope they stay regardless of what their result will be

I don't think the will participate in 2016 again. If they will, other countries like USA may also participate... Perhaps the EBU will invite a different country each year to participate.

Of course they will stay - question is, will they be promoted to the final next year too?

I'm sure they'll be back again at some point, but unless they win I don't see them coming back quite yet. (Unless they call it another 60th anniversary special).

I really hope that if they would become a regular participant, they'd have to participate in the semi-final. Big 7 is way too much.
