02 10 Regions of Mobius || Ágnes Vanilla - Óh, szív nyugodj!
Ágnes Vanilla (real name: Ágnes Frenyó) started her solo career in 1997. As a pop singer she had a lot of chart succes with her albums released in 1999 and 2001. After this, she disappeared for a few years, and returned with a new rocky image in 2005.
She took part in Vorhota's NFs two times: in NSC23 she came last in the national final with the song "Valaki más" but then in NSC28 she won the NF and went on to be 3rd in the final with the song "Ígéret".
This song, "Óh szív, nyugodj!" was her comeback song in 2005. In fact its a poem by
Attila József, a Hungarian poet, with music added.
Lyrics and translation! (Lyrics of this song are very abstract and difficult to understand. ANd it was very difficult to translate as well
)
10 Regions of Mobius || Ágnes Vanilla – Óh szív, nyugodj!
Fegyverben réved fönn a téli ég,
kemény a menny és vándor a vidék,
halkul a hó, megáll az elmen?,
lehelete a lobbant keszken?.
Hol is vagyok? Egy szalmaszál nagyon
helyezkedik a csontozott úton;
kis, száraz nemzet; izgágán szuszog,
zúzódik, zizzen, izzad és buzog.
De fönn a hegyen ágyat bont a köd,
mint egykor melléd: mellé leülök.
Bajos szél jaját csendben hallgatom,
csak hulló hajam repes vállamon.
Óh szív, nyugodj! Vad boróka hegyén
szerelem szólal, incseleg felém,
pirkadó madár, karcsú, koronás,
de áttetsz?, mint minden látomás. (x2)
10 Regions of Mobius | Ágnes Vanilla – Oh Heart, Rest!
The weaponed winter sky is lost in reverie
Heaven's tough and the landscape's wandering
The snow fades away, the leaving one stops
Its breath is a heated shawl
Where am I? A stalk of straw
is taking a stand on the boned road
small, dry nation, sniffles in excitement
Gets smashed, rustles, sweats and effervesces
But up on the mountain the fog makes its bed
I sit next to it like I used to sit next to you
I listen to the scream of the wind silently
My hair is streaming in the wind
Oh heart, rest! On the wild juniper mountain
love is calling, tempting me,
a dawning bird, slim, with a crown.
But its translucent like every illusion.
