A warm welcome to the biggest event of the year!
Yes, it is time again to revisit the best FSC entries of 2019 and to choose the ultimate best entry of the year.
We have selected the 3 highest-placed entries from each FSC-edition in 2019 to compile this list of amazing entries,
and ultimately we will select the song to be crowned Best of 2019!
This year we are travelling to the continent of Africa, as the Host City for these proceedings are Mbabane, Eswatini. (previously known as Swaziland).
The Kingdom of Eswatini is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, bordered by South Africa and Mozambique, and one of the smallest countries on the African continent. It is an absolute monarchy, ruled by King Mswati III since 1986. The country has a population of about 1,1 million people, of which the majority are ethnically and linguistically Swazi. The 2 main cities are the Mbabane, the capital, and Manzini, the largest city.
Mbabane is the capital of Eswatini, and has a population of 95,000 people. It is located on the Mbabane River in the Mdzimba Mountains. It is located in the Highveld region of Hhohho, at an average altitude of 1243 metres. Due to the altitude, Mbabane has a moderate subtropical highland climate. The city sees an average of 4 days of frost per year, and only had snow 3 times since 1900.
The venue for our special show is the Royal Swazi Convention Centre located at the Royal Swazi Spa.
The Royal Swazi Spa is the major entertainment complex of Eswatini. Located in the Ezulwini valley outside of Mbabane, it consists of two hotels, a spa, casino, country club and various other facilities. The hotel opened in 1965, three years before the Independence of Swaziland. It has been refurbished and extended several times since, and is considered an important part of the country's foreign exchange and serves 250,000 people a year, primarily from neighboring South Africa and Mozambique as well as European countries. The golf course has hosted many professional tournaments, and is the venue for two current Sunshine Tour events, the Royal Swazi Sun Open and the Lombard Insurance Classic.
Today, the Royal Swazi Convention Centre is also the proud host of A Night with the Stars: Best of 2019.
