The 5th NSC World Cup is going to be held in Canedonia. :mrgreen: Applause!!!!! xclap xclap xclap

The poster above was used in the presentation of Canedonia as the host of this elite competition. An official banner will follow after the qualifications.

The ceremony will be opened with Canedonia's World Cup song (presenting Trinidad and Tobago), by Maximus Dan. :D

Without further notice, lets explain the rules. 24 countries will take place in this World Cup, 23 from the qualifications and the host.
Countries are divided into 6 pots according to their ranking. In each pot there are 11 countries, however in pot 6 there will be 10 countries.
Pot 6 consist of 4 newly admitted countries + 6 prequalifiers. There are 9 WL-countries, but only 6 of them can advance in the qualifications. The 9 prequalifiers are settled in 3 groups of 3 teams. The top 2 teams advance.
Each prequalification group has a host. In the prequalification games, only 1 game against each other will be played.

In the main qualification system, there will be 11 groups. 10 groups will consist of 6 teams and one group of 5 teams. The top 2 teams in each group advance to the championship + the best third placed country. :)

Consipolia - Ergenekonland
Group C:
Rumia - Rasmus Islands

First matches of the first round of qualifications:

Group A:
Maccha Brugia - Peirias 2:1 (2:0), Loger scored in the 17th minute, followed by Groentlem in the 20th minute from a free kick. Petrakis lowered the score with a header from a corner kick in the 58th minute.
Group B:
Consipolia - Ergenekonland 3:0 (3:0), Kurtishi lead the bandwagon for Consipolia in the 9th minute. His powerful kick was enough for an early lead. Kurtishi scored again in the 14th minute from a break through. Faangbrucher scored in the 41st minute for a huge lead of 3:0 and a satisfaction among the many fans that were on the arena in Consipolia national stadium. Consipolia is now on a role and with one big step forward to a qualification in the next round.
Group C:
Rumia - Rasmus Islands 2:0 (0:0). In a pretty boring game, an accidental hand play led to a penalty for the host in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, the punisher was Tomashewski. The game went to a much more interesting one, especially due to the pressure of Rasmus Islands. Two counter attacks followed one in the 78th and one in the 81st minute. The second one was devastating for Rasmus Islands and the executor was the young Smikolow, who gave a lot of joy to the audience. The same player hit the post in the 90th minute and the result stayed 2:0.

Group A:
Peirias - Lightland, first match for the host.
Group B:
Ergenekonland - Serenate & Clair, a Turkish derby!
Group C:
Berceniland - Rumia

Moment of the game between Consipolia and Ergenekonland

In the second round of matches:
Group A:
Peirias - Lightland 1:0 (0:0); The host lost with a goal in the 91st minute. It was Demetrios with a stunning goal from a corner kick 27m distance from the goal.
Group B:
Ergenekonland - Serenate & Clair 0:0; It was an exciting game, a game of the goalies. Durday from Serenate and Clair had a blasting chance with a powerful shot from a 4m distance, but Gyorberi saved it. One of these teams will advance in the next round. This means Consipolia is in.
Group C:
Berceniland - Rumia 0:0; A very boring game here. Rumia had 5 shots, 2 on goal, while Berceniland had 6 shots, 3 on goal. This means Rumia qualified without a goal conceded. Congratulations!

The last games will be:
Group A:
Lightlan - Maccha Brugia
Group B:
Serenate & Clair - Consipolia
Group C:
Rasmus Islands - Berceniland

So far only Consipolia and Rumia qualified for the qualifications!

Third round games:

Group A:
Lightland - Maccha Brugia 2:5 (1:3); Maccha Brugia fired the host! The country with the highest ranking among the WL-ers started with a goal from Groentlem in the 3rd minute. A massive counter attack happened in the 10th minute and Van Villen scored. Van Villen raised the bar when he scored in the 31st minute in a one-on-one face-off with the goalkeeper, after he skipped 2 defenders from Lightland. After 35 minutes, Lightland's defense finally consolidated and their game finally looked more promising. Terebum cruised through the Brugian defense in the 43rd minute to lower the score to 1:3. It looked like we gonna see an even more exciting second half, when Terebum hit the bar in the 47th minute. Just two minutes later, the host scored again. This time it was Cirian. Cirian had an enormous chance to level the result in the 53rd minute, but failed. Cirian had yet another chance in the 60th minute, but goalkeeper Van Hegelend saved his shot. Lightland continued to attack, but then happened another counter attack. Jaublert speed was too much for Lightland's defense and he crushed the net in the 69th minute. The hopes of the host were diminished and to make their day even worse, youngster Koelander scored in the 82nd minute for 2:5. This means Maccha Brugia and Peirias are in. Lightland is out.
Group C:
Rasmus Islands - Berceniland 0:4 (0:0); The first half looked like all the matches in this group - boring as hell. Rasmus Islands had a serious chance in the 48th minute to lead, but a punishment came from Giriani in the 50th minute for 0:1 lead. Filipescu scored for 0:2 in the 59th minute in a mash-up in front of Drobal's goal. Giriani scored a wonderful goal in the 74th minute for 0:3 and it was all clear in this group. To make their pain even greater, Dorianu scored in the 86th minute for a final score of 0:4. This puts Berceniland in the qualifications.

UPDATE:
The game between Serenate & Clair - Consipolia was postponed for an hour or two. This was due to the fact that the fans between Serenate & Clair and Ergenekonland had an incident. The fans of Ergenekonland attacked the other fans, because they saw transparents saying "0:0 and both Consipolia and Serenate will go". That transparent made Ergenekonland fans furious, as they are hoping to advance in the next qualification round. More to follow.

The incident was cleared up, and we will see the game in an hour or so. :D

FSR Kopija - Waloria 1:1 (1:1)

Euro - Zaprya 0:5 (0:3)
and
Canedonia - Comino 1:0 (0:0). Hickman scored in the 84th minute for a first joy among Canedonians with their new coach DiNozzo. :mrgreen:

Group B game:
Serenate & Clair - Consipolia 0:4 (0:1). The game started much in favour for the Serenates. They took control of the game and made few chances. The biggest danger came in 27th minute, when Boncay was fouled and brought down. Durday took the shot, but Galandorf saved the shot. :shock: Another chance had Durday 3 minutes later, but Galandorf saved his net. Consipolia finally woke up and with their top scorer Kurtishi, scored in the 37th minute. Consipolia lead the game in the second half and in the 58th minute Kurtishi scores again for 0:2. The big surprise to the Ergenekonland fans came in the 78th minute, when Faangbrucher scored. The Serenates now attacked with full power, because they needed the goal. Durday hit the post in the 84th minute to make his tragedy even greater. :( Antiali scored in the 86th minute to bury Serenates hopes of getting a qualifier position. The host showed his dominance yet again and won with a big goal difference. This means Ergenekonland are through to the next round.

So let us see how the tables look like:

The games will be played in a Berger system. Each country will play 10 games (8 for group 11), 5 home and 5 away (4 home and 4 away for group 11). This is done, so we can have more excitement and more games. :lol:

The format of the matches from Group1-Group10:
First round Pot 1 vs. Pot 4, Pot 2 vs. Pot 5, Pot 3 vs. Pot 6
Second round Pot 5 vs. Pot 1, Pot 6 vs. Pot 2, Pot 4 vs. Pot 3
Third round Pot 6 vs. Pot 1, Pot 3 vs. Pot 2, Pot 4 vs. Pot 5
Fourth round Pot 1 vs. Pot 3, Pot 2 vs. Pot 4, Pot 5 vs. Pot 6
Fifth round Pot 2 vs. Pot 1, Pot 3 vs. Pot 5, Pot 6 vs. Pot 4
and then will come the return matches.
The format for group 11:
1st round Pot 1 vs. Pot 3, Pot 5 vs. Pot 4
2nd round Pot 4 vs. Pot 1, Pot 3 vs. Pot 2
3rd round Pot 1 vs. Pot 5, Pot 2 vs. Pot 4
4th round Pot 4 vs. Pot 3, Pot 5 vs. Pot 2
5th round Pot 2 vs. Pot 1, Pot 3 vs. Pot 5
and then of-course the return games.

First matches will be Sunday night. :cool:
