Previously Kenya was the hosts however after a 3 months short notice, Morocco was announced as the new hosts of the competition.

Despite having only 3 months to organise the competition, Morocco has proved its hosting capabilities of hosting the 2026 World Cup with its opening ceremony under the presence of Crown Prince Hassan.

Morocco opens up the competition after a fashionable 4-0 victory. After pummelling Mauritanian defence in the first half Morocco had finally found an opening beating the Mauritanian Goalkeeper and a few mins after it was 2-0. 79th minute then made it 4-0 and finishing it 4-0 after the goalie ran out his goal but failed which led to the Moroccan player to run the ball straight in the goal despite a last second move by the defenders to stop him.
