Re: Cydoni-Gibberia

I loved your song this edition! :( It's a shame you never qualified as this is my fave Cygo entry since Audacity of Huge.

NSC 53
Cydoni-Gibberia

So it's time to reveal my entry. And it's something completely different from the usual Cygo fare

Fleet Foxes
White Winter Hymnal

For the first time ever indie folk will represent the island of Cydoni-Gibberia in the contest, in the guise of Seattle-based quintet Fleet Foxes, who rose to prominence with their eponymous debut album. Their second album is expected to be released in late 2010. The band describe their music as "baroque harmonic pop jams" They will represent Cydoni-Gibberia in the 53rd Nation Song Contest in Zechonia and Zaprya.

I was following the pack
all swallowed in their coats
with scarves of red tied 'round their throats
to keep their little heads
from fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
and turn the white snow red as strawberries
in the summertime

As I've already told you, Sean: Great song! :D

Let me add that this is the most beautiful album-cover ever made in music-history.

I'm still on the waiting list, but I just have to say: BEAUTIFUL. One of the most beautiful songs I heard recently.

.:Watch on YouTube:.

For NSC 54 Cydoni-Gibberia will once again be attempting to go for something not often seen in the contest, this time opting for a lengthy instrumental trance track, RAMsterdam by RAM, remixed by Dutch DJ Jorn van Deynhoven. The last time Cygo went for a long instrumental trance number was in NSC 46, and had Zoran's Islands voted we would have finished last. Obviously this time I am not expecting any different of a result but hopefully there'll be at least one person in the contest that would enjoy its prescence (not that I am thinking of anyone in particular)

Also this is the 35th overall and consecutive entry for Cydoni-Gibberia. Go me!

Congratz for the 35th entry. Unfortunately i must say that it isn't anywhere near your better entries.

Re: Cydoni-Gibberia

3 songs are way too few to pick, but if i have to i say signs, what else is there and juggernauts. But audacity of huge, i will be here and innerpartysystem songs get an honorable mention. And don't forget beating heart baby & tommy sparks + a few more.

Re: Cydoni-Gibberia

Well for me it would be ''Audacity of Huge'', ''Knights of Cydonia'' and ''Doubt''. I don't really know all of your songs since you have such vast history, but these 3 would be my pick as it is. Really amazing entries, especially ''Doubt''! :D Also honorable mention to ''Don't Stop''

Re: Cydoni-Gibberia

I know you sent a pm but deleted it, was it concerning the world cup contest ? There are a couple of places left and it would be a shame not seeing Cydoni-Gibberia there
