Damdiggida is rather a guilty pleasure, and I think it's my favourite from the bunch (of other guilty pleasures) so far. Though, I'm biased because I love Keiino :love:;) Really hope they win again but I won't get my hopes up too much just in case. :D

I liked the original more, as I kinda feared. She made it more generic and thus it's not as strong. Could've been the Shum of the year but now it's more Mata Hari.

Not at all, it's simply that some Eurovision winners are made for the stage, some are more about the emotional impact of the performer rather than radio-friendly ability.

All so very easy to say if you didn't like the song, of course. Did 1944 or Amar Pelos Dois make a splash in the mainstream media prior to winning? Thought not. Alina was second in the odds after winning, so i'm afraid that there will always be that element of her being a possible winner.

Rather than just going 'oh wow authentic weird hat love her' people simply feel her emotion whether they understand every word of the song or not. Just like you get excited about some uptempo songs, some songs are emotional. Are people not allowed to feel or are they snobs for appreciating...
