United Kingdom UNITED KINGDOM 2022 - Freya Skye - Lose My Head

We wait 24 years for a UK ESC bop that sounds fresh and modern... And it's just delivered unexpectedly for Junior ESC? What the actual fuck?

    United Kingdom UNITED KINGDOM 2023

Do we think that UK hosting will mean that the semi finals will be broadcast on the main channels for once? That will be interesting to see how the general public gets on board with the semis.

Armenia ARMENIA 2022 - Rosa Linn - Snap

It's heartwarming to see this song take off. Although I was not a massive fan of the live performance on ESC 2022, I still loved the song as soon as I heard it and knew it had potential. Congratulations, Rosa Linn!:love::love::love:

    Ireland IRELAND 2023

Do we reckon Ireland has the resources and strength to turn themselves around like the UK did this year? I hope so.

    Where will it be hosted?

All this drama. Ugh. The cold hard facts are that hosting a global (or even small) event in a country currently at war is a ridiculous. It's purely inconceivable and that is that. There is nothing more to it. As for the UK hosting... I personally feel like I would've preferred for the UK to...

United Kingdom UNITED KINGDOM 2022 - Sam Ryder - Space Man

As I've said previously, the "curse" has been lifted. Let's hope this chart success just strengthens the momentum even more. I hope this lasts.

EUROVISION 2023 - General Discussion thread

Random, and I don't know why, but it would be cool if one year soon we see a points tie for the top. Imagine the drama, and the countback process. The likelihood of a tie is very low but it would be cool.

Sweden SWEDEN 2022 - Cornelia Jakobs - Hold Me Closer

No one can deny that Sweden has helped to re-energise ESC, starting in 2011 with Eric Saade, then Loreen. Since Loreen, ESC, for me, has become a lot more competitive and had more quality entries. It does, however, feel like ESC has had another shift in the last couple of years though, and their...

Iceland ICELAND 2022 - Systur - Með Hækkandi Sól

Fun fact. This was Iceland's lowest ever placing in a final at 23, in terms of numbers. They have finished 22nd twice, which was last place.

EUROVISION 2023 - General Discussion thread

It would be nice if a long standing, non-winning ESC participant could host next year. It's been a while since we've had a first-time eastern european host. UK and Sweden would be cool but I fancy something different.

    Spain SPAIN 2022 - Chanel - SloMo

I'm VERY late to the party here but HOW did this get such few public votes in the national selection, and that stupid tits song get so many? The tits song was weird in a bad way.

    United Kingdom UNITED KINGDOM 2023

With Cheryl's live vocal???!!! No thanks. At least she would have the recorded backing vocal rule. We need someone fresh... And I'm a huge Girls Aloud fan so I say that without bitchiness.

Live EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2022 FINAL DISCUSSION

Not sure if it's been mentioned but... FUN FACT! This is the first time since 2001 that two groups have won ESC consecutively. :dk: 2000 Olsen Brothers :ee: 2001 Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL :coffee::coffee::coffee::unsure::unsure::unsure::cool::cool::cool:

Cyprus CYPRUS 2023 - Andrew Lambrou

Anna Vissi to return, please. Duet with Despina Vandi. Yes, I'm delusional.

Sweden SWEDEN 2022 - Cornelia Jakobs - Hold Me Closer

Sweden would have won with this like, 6 years ago. Crazy to think how much ESC has moved on so much in 5 years!

EUROVISION 2022 - General Discussion Thread

To be honest, this for me is part of the fun. I enjoy the messy moments during the voting. I didn't mind the long running time I was just surprised.

EUROVISION 2022 - General Discussion Thread

I know I've already said this but last night's show was about 4 hours and 10 minutes. Is there anyone with the knowledge to calculate if this was the longest show ever? It seemed to go on forever!!!!

Bring back Petra! The modern day Katie Boyle. Icon.

United Kingdom UNITED KINGDOM 2022 - Sam Ryder - Space Man

I doubt the EBU will want to plan a contest in a country in a state of unresolved war. It's sad but it's completely out of the question, unless things are resolved between Russia and Ukraine before July. It's sad.
