It could be key who they choose and what song for covers night.Tight,but i expect once on stage Elisa and Mahmood are two likely on the podium.An outsider who might go close for the podium is Dargen de Amico as he might get the crowd going,a showman.
Emma might do well with her power.Rkomi also might do well from the newer names.
I think on stage Elisa will provide the highest quality,intimate with a superb use of the orchestra.Looks like a fantastic year.Italy might go close on the ESC double.

Normally this kind of lists gives us a good idea about who's going to do well with the press and who's going to win the critics and press awards. I read a tweet that did a recap of recent winners compared to the lists that we got after the first listen and they averaged around the fifth position. So based on this list the probable winners could be Mahmood and Blanco, Rkomi, Gianni Morandi and Donatella Rettore and Ditonellapiaga

Today the technical rehearsals of the orchestra begin at the Ariston theater. Confirmed the cruise ship positioned off the coast of sanremo in front of the theater,
Confirmed the red carpet, the 100% full theater and the Rai entertainment stations around the theater as in 2020 before the pandemic. We try to return to normal obviously respecting the strict health protocols

A stolen photo of the set. As the great scenographer Gaetano Castelli (82 years old) said this year the scenography will be "classic" with the introduction of the curtain that according to him gives suspense.

Aka7even could now be excluded from the festival, rehearsals start tomorrow and he can't be there so they can't use his rehearsal clip like they did last year for Irama. Hopefully they'll find a solution

Many Spanish fans are happy because Ana Mena was butchered by the press. I was sure 100% she was going to be downgraded by the critics.
And I'm sure that the press would have butchered 80% of Benidorm Fest songs, not because of some kind of pseudo superiority but the different approach.
From 25 Sanremo songs the critics have disliked half of them.
But hey after hearing the songs we can talk more about them.
As far as I remember the winner has been always in the press top 5 generally ranking.

It seems in the new rules set for this Sanremo, they will apply the "Irama rule" if someone can't be on stage in any of the Sanremo nights for CoVid restrictions. So Aka7even will be in contention no matter what.

nothing official, but the rumor is that the maneskins could be the hosts of eurovision 2022! let's see if it's true.
