I fell in love, I fell in love
I gave my heart to el diablo, el diablo
I gave it up, I gave it up, because
He tells me I'm his angel, I'm his angel

Tonight we're gonna burn in a party
We're wild as fire that's on the loose
Hotter than sriracha on our bodies
Ta-Taco tamale, yeah, that's my mood
All this spicy melts my icy edges, baby, it's true
Tonight we're gonna burn in a party
It's heaven in hell with you

Mama-mamacita, tell me what to do
Lo-la-lo-la-loca, I'm breaking the rules

I fell in love, I fell in love
I gave my heart to el diablo, el diablo
I gave it up, I gave it up, because
He tells me I'm his angel, I'm his angel
Oh-oh-oh, el diablo, el diablo
I fell in love, I fell in love
I gave my heart to el diablo, el diablo

Tonight we're gonna dance in the moonlight
Droppin' our lashes on the floor
Hair flip-flip made you look twice
Touch me, touch me, mi amor
All this spicy melts my icy edges, baby, for sure
Tonight we're gonna dance in the moonlight
And then we're gonna do it some more

Mama-mamacita, tell me what to do
Lo-la-lo-la-loca, I'm breaking the rules

I fell in love, I fell in love
I gave my heart to el diablo, el diablo
I gave it up, I gave it up, because
He tells me I'm his angel, I'm his angel
Oh-oh-oh, el diablo, el diablo
I fell in love, I fell in love
I gave my heart to el diablo, el diablo

I fell in love, I fell in love
I gave my heart to el diablo, el diablo
I gave it up, I gave it up, because
He tells me I'm his angel, I'm his angel
Oh-oh-oh, el diablo, el diablo, oh-oh
I fell in love, I fell in love
I gave my heart to el diablo, el diablo

  1. Product placement in the video even more blatant than Fuego
  2. Have Lady Gaga's lawyers been in touch yet?

Comments I have heard and read on other blogs/youtube etc ...

"This is a banging chorus" - well yeah, see point 2
"This chorus is so anthemic" - again ....
"gaga vibes", "It's almost a bit Gaga" - no shit
"If one of you dares to compare this song to Fuego ..." - No, everyone will be comparing it to 'Bad Romance'
"This chorus is very memorable" - Yeah, it reminds me of .... ah, forget it

Usually the kind of the song I like, but too much similarity to "Anywhere" by Rita Ora for me, Sorry Cyprus :-( And I think, I should buy some shampoo tomorrow

99% of the comments by Cypriots in social media are negative. Most of them don't know who Elena Tsangrinou is, and they are against the lyrics of the song that says I gave my heart to the devil and they don't want to be represented by this. I looked so hard to find a single positive comment and I haven't found anything.
I mean you can't vote for your own song either way so... it will not affect the good result this will bring to your country.

Well, this is... bland. Not offensive in any way, but it sticks so closely to the mold of "mid-2010s radio pop by numbers" without adding anything to make it stand out; I wanted some interesting instrumentation, or some big schlager melodies, or powerful vocals, or an emotional climax, or a memorable hook, or... *something*. Instead we get just five seconds of the horror-chant, then head straight back into the plastic pop.

:3: for me, and my definite last place so far, unfortunately. Maybe it'll grow to a 5 or something over time once I get it in better quality and remember the melody, but I really wanted something more to bite into here.

What one earth is it with Greek/Cypriot music videos and overtly crass product placements? Head & Shoulders have really distracted me from the actual song.

7 points. It's very contrived.

On the other hand, if this was an entry for the UK my world would be imploding right now out of elation and happiness.

That's how I felt when Violent Thing came out :') And the UK will have their "Violent Thing", too. One day. I believe in you.

Well the product placement is necessary unfortunately. Panik are a Greek label, and as everyone knows, Greece has had a horrible 10 years financially. The product placements help fund the videos, music etc. I can live with it
