In case anyone was wondering if there's a chance for our return: there won't even be a Hungarian broadcast this year. We withdrew in 2010 but they still aired all the shows live. Not this time. We are gone for good.

They will definitely allow countries to return next year, why wouldn't they? But we aren't coming back to ESC in the near future.

We are currently in the worst global/European crisis since World War II, and guess when was the last time some of the largest events, like the World Cup and the Olympics, got cancelled? World War II. In a time of crisis events like ESC get cancelled, that's just how this works.

I think it's pretty obvious who won the televote in SF1 (Cyprus), but the jury vote is a big mystery to me this year. Did the jury finally give the #1 spot to an opera song or they went with something more modern and radio-friendly?
