I also think that EBU needs to overthink the rules concerning the backing vocals. But in this case it also should be clear that the karaoke version is not identical with the backing track used in Malmö. I guess they finally will fix the backing track in the rehearsal week.

I dont understand why people are shocked now. We knew from the beginning that Kaleen is not the best singer and will take heavy use of backing vocals like she did in the leaked live casting.

Also in this live version Nemo gets a lot of help from pre recorded vocals though he is without any doubt a good singer. I dont have a clear favourite song this year so I hope Switzerland will win because its my neighbour. But I doubt that this song can reach the top 3 in the televote. Maybe...

That was a much better performance than in Madrid in deed. The second verse she should sing with a deeper voice though. I hope for Amsterdam she will bring dancers along.

I dont like her choreos at all. Thats why I am happy that she is not doing the choreo herself in Malmö. I like the frog move in the video. At G.A.Y other than in Madrid she hit the tones in the last part of the song. Still her voice just does not sound nice in my ears. But it makes me confident...

Well in the moment I am also a bit more pessimistic. Austria really needs a huge staging to distract from the poor vocal performance. I hope they dont concentrate too much on the dancing. they need to fix the sound issues soon. In Madrid Kaleen performed like she were just improvising.

In my opinion Kaleen neither disappointed nor surprised. If she wants to create a hype than she has to deliver a little bit more than that in London and/ or Amsterdam. But of course in the end the pre shows are not really relevant.
