And I can move on from here
How simple, life goes on
Humble, that's how I feel
Sparking hot flames, holding on
Younger days run so clear
Through my mind, replaying my crime
Tearing me up, spreading fear
Obsession in my own time

What life's taken away, I'm not missing
Will I sit back and sigh?
A thunder of thoughts, I'm dismissing
Too scared to even try

And in time I've always known
I'm never in the safety zone
I took the fight, but was I right?
They were sending me to war
And in time I've always known
I'm never in the safеty zone
I took the fight, but was I right?
They wеre sending me to war

My intention is strong and real
Only power steels my will
The illusion of safety's surreal
Don't let it go for the kill

What life's taken away, I'm not missing
Will I sit back and sigh?
A thunder of thoughts, I'm dismissing
Too scared to even try

And in time I've always known
I'm never in the safety zone
I took the fight, but was I right?
They were sending me to war
And in time I've always known
I'm never in the safety zone
I took the fight, but was I right?
They were sending me to war

I don't want to take on the pain
So, I go seek inner signs, or a calling
The more freedom I gain
The less real life I'm recalling

I just had arguement of dude saying Intelligent music project is copy of Maneskin...
Just pure laughing stock with man of Circus Mircus as profile picture...

His argument pretty much that everyone will now send bad copy of Maneskin...

First off, let's take a moment to acknowledge how lame "Intelligent Music Project" sounds as a band name 🤡
Seriously whose idea was that?? :DDD

Well, I'm ok with rock in Eurovision, but Bulgaria is the last country I expect that genre from. I don't wanna have any prejudices just yet, but why are they even announcing the entry so early? The previous delegation was very ambitious to win the whole thing and announced barely before the DDL. They were sharing hints and teases about the act all throughout the season. Everything looks a bit too rushed this year. Hope I'm proven wrong :/

idk but i actually lowkey dig the name, imho it has an sarcastic/ironic taste to it lol

they're actually pretty good from what i'm checking, but they've got like a pretty light rock sound from i'm hearing, if they send something similar to this, they might end up getting quite a handful of votes from oldschool fans of rock in their 50s who will be getting good amounts of nostalgia with this kind of sound. idk if it will be enough tho, i can't imagine other groups enjoying this that much

i guess we're gonna see on 7th but we might be actually getting a solid classic rock entry here

Regarding Bulgarian choice for ESC, I can say it is not a bad choice at all. Yeah it also bugs me a bit cause they want to win and they come with rock song this year, but who knows, I really like their rock ballads on yt for example.. They are rock, but not that similar to Italy 2021, so we will see.. :) it can be really promising and interesting project..

I don't like the name. Anyone who claims to be intelligent loses intelligence in my eyes.
I also think the last year's winner will determine that we'll all hear more rock this year and more bands trying to enter the main contest. It's natural.

I don't judge the band by their name. Do any of you know the proverb "Never judge a book by its cover"? Furthermore, it could also be an ironic name.

I am convinced that many nations will be braver this year. More interesting songs will be chosen (even from musical genres that have fallen from the mainstream) and will increase those who choose to sing in their own language. Personally, I'm tired of seeing contestants sing in English (with bad pronunciation) and I'm tired of seeing "pre-built songs" (J.Lo Style & Cinderella Style).

Regarding Rock, someone will probably follow the "trail of Måneskin" but ... whoever makes this choice will do it not to win but to get visibility and a decent placement. It is a foolish strategy to think of winning with Rock when the Måneskin triumphed and conquered the world the previous year. The European public, never satisfied with novelty, will win a new genre.

Ultimately, the choice of "I.M.P." to present their song in advance is good and bad at the same time. It's good because it will allow the audience to appreciate and understand the music over time. It is bad because it risks boring and being overwhelmed with excitement for the new songs to come. What to say? For the moment, "Road to Varna 2023" 🧛🏻

Personally, I think that the Eurovision Song Contest is in need of getting a few more rock entries. Among 40+ entries, it's alright to get a few rock entries from time to time.. even if it's like 10 per year - that's what the general public and some juries seem to like (e.g. Georgia 2011, Georgia 2016) - both songs sound entirely different and therefore, I'm also fed up with comments like "Maneskin copy" - let us sit and wait for the actual entry - not all songs sound like Billie Eilish or Fuego, either.

I can still remember how some fans complained that after Rybak`s victory, there had been a huge amount of violins in 2010. I can`t remember any, tbh, and the ones which had been used sounded completely different and had been used in completely different songs as well, e.g. Moldova.

That said, I actually like the name of the band - I sense a glimpse of irony here or a reference to "artificial intelligence" - when it comes to the entry, I am a bit afraid that it will be indeed a watered down version of a rock song (like Armenia 2013 which was utterly horrendous and shouldn't have qualified at all) but dunno.. maybe they have something good to offer - the vocalist seems to have quite a great and smooth voice.

I don't mind having rock band at esc, Maneskin were lowkey my winners last year, I loved Georgia 2016 etc...

What bothers me about them is - they don't seem fresh at all, it looks and sounds like a dad band. Not to mention that they were chosen by corruption and will probably be the reason why Bulgaria will withdraw next year after NQ and also them not even being supported in their own country (no Bulgarian likes them as far as I'm aware of).

This is the problem for me personally.

+ I loved Bulgaria in previous years (they were in my top 10 every year since 2016) and the delegation they had was just marvellous and hardworking... I have zero hope for the new delegation tho.

Here we return to the fact that the choice of Rock was made to "ride the wave" of the success of the past edition. Bulgaria decided to play by exploiting the Maneskin scream, the "Rock Never Dies". The Bulgarian delegation has neither the desire nor the time to try to experiment.

I am happy to see more Rock but also different genres, I am happy to see singing in the original language (I don't think it will be the case in Bulgaria) and I am happy to see more bands. Necessarily, the choice of Rock does not mean that post-Maneskin songs will be bad. It's just hard, unless a powerful song like "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is brought to ESC 2022, which public will be as surprised as last year. The comparison with the Maneskin will always be there and also the desire to listen and reward more.

Returning to Bulgaria. I don't judge the song of "I.M.P." and I don't judge the fact that they "don't look fresh anymore". Never judge ahead of time, they could surprise us or at least not disappoint us. Then, if the song isn't good to go to the final ... I'm sorry for them and the race goes on.

But there name is meant ironic, isnt it? I guess then it is ok. Lets wait for the song. Rock music exists even in Bulgaria, why they should not send a rock entry.

For sure. I only think that doesn't work here. It's a bit too much "right in your face" to be really funny or witty. But let's wait for the song. Maybe the band's name works together with it and that could change everything.

Actually, the About page on their official website suggests that the name may NOT be ironic.

The 'creator, producer and author of all lyrics and songs of Intelligent Music Project' described the 'cause of the band':
“I would like my children to grow up with the ideas that I share in my albums. And instead of lecturing them on these ideas, I use the language of music, which is the most universal language. “

in that case I'm even more curious about the song. If you name yourself like that, it would set a very high standard.

Wow. I can't wait to see all the Top 1's on Youtube starting from next week.

Interesting to see that we will be getting 3 entries this month (even though I barely count Albania because they either fundamentally revamp their song or even completely change it until March) :D
